I’m a reinvention expert – 6 casual items you need in your wardrobe as they make you look expensive
DO you want to elevate your style and look more expensive, but you just prefer wearing casual clothes.
It turns out that is completely fine, according to reinvention expert Anna Bey.
Instagram/annabeyElegance coach Anna Bey shared her top tips for looking expensive in casual clothes[/caption]
The elegance coach explained: “There are some casual must-have items that you need in your wardrobe that will make you look expensive.
“They’re just as comfortable and convenient as all these options that you tend to reach for.”
Here are Anna’s top recommendations…
1. Basics earrings
The elegance coach shared: “First, I want to talk to you about the basics. Ladies, the basics are everything.”
Anna demonstrated how an elegance earring and swipe of lip gloss can instantly “elevate” your outfit.
She added: “Something that many ladies tend to forget is that just by perfecting the basics, like creating a nice canvas, you actually don’t really need any complicated garments or items or anything specific to look instantly more elevated in your casual style.
“I mean, how easy is it to just, you know, put on a pair of earrings, you know, like this?”
2. Cropped trousers with a shirt
One of Anna’s go-to outfits is to wear cropped trousers with a shirt, and she’ll often finish off the look with ballerina flats or trainers.
She shared: “This is kind of a very typical, casual, everyday outfit of mine. I love wearing a simple ballerina shoe.
“I love wearing my cropped trousers, whether it is jeans or a more tailored version.
“I also love the oversized shirt.
“And that is, for me, one of my favourite outfit formulas.”
She argued that shirts don’t have to be “restrictive”, “stuffy” or “uncomfortable” and argued that a linen or cotton shirt can be “comfy.”
Anna added: “I swear to you, I have so many of these shirts, and I wear them all the time because they’re just so easy to just pull on.
“And then you instantly look better.”

3. Simple white top (with peplum detail)
While a simple white tee is a staple in many people’s wardrobes, there can be a way to elevate it to look more expensive.
Anna modelled a white top with a peplum hem, and said: “I’m just wearing a pair of simple black trousers with a simple white top.
“But why does this instantly look already a little bit more interesting than if I just was wearing a white T-shirt?
How to be irresistible to men, according to elegance coach Anna Bey
IF you’re looking to boost your chances of finding love then you might want to take notes from millionaire matchmaker Anna Bey.
1. Be confident
According to this matchmaker, a strong sense of confidence is something most men are looking for in a relationship – and being insecure about them leaving is a surefire way to drive them away.
2. Don’t be afraid to play hard to get
Urging women not to “obsess” about the guys they’re seeing, Anna said that blokes will suddenly take more of an interest when you’re not at his every beck and call.
3. Let him show his emotions
According to Anna, men form a stronger attachment to women who have allowed allow them to be vulnerable.
4. Always know your self-worth
If you’ve spent any time on dating apps, then chances are you will have received a creepy message (or two)… and it’s for this exact reason that Anna says you should keep your standards high.
5. Use your femininity to capture his interest
As important as it is to set boundaries, Anna also recommends her clients use their femininity to capture their guy’s interest.
“Well, because there’s a little nice, cute little peplum effect going on here.
“There’s a little bit of a—not a design element, but there is something different to this top than what the usual white T-shirt would give you, right?
“Invest in styles that have some form of design element to them, like a little peplum top, honestly.
“So flattering on pretty much any body shape as well.”
4. Add colour
Anna claimed that high fashion individuals will often transform a casual outfit incorporating colour.
She explained: “Now, we can continue to the blouse department, which is also ultimately a simple button-down.
“But because you select it in a nice fabric, in a nice print, nice colour, you know, not only go for neutrals all the time, you’re going to add a lot of elevation to your outfit because you’re breaking what’s safe, what’s plain, and instead you’re like I’m going to add a little bit of flamboyance.
“I’m going to add a little bit of colour.”

5. Platform trainers
When you think of being comfortable and casual, your mind probably jumps straight to trainers.
Thankfully Anna said you can wear these and still look expensive.
She shared: “When we wear casual clothes, we definitely want to have a casual shoe.
“And my choice is a sneaker, but it doesn’t have to be a running shoe. You can find an elevated shoe.
“ And my favourite one is the one I’ve been talking about for many years—the Louis Vuitton, um, front row shoe.
“This is literally a leather shoe in a sneaker model. Perfect.”
She added that sometimes she likes to wear trainers with dresses as part of her “casual outfit formula”.
Anna recommended that you look for trainers with a “little bit of platform” as it’ll help to “elongate” you and make your outfit look more interesting.

6. Change your belt
Anna also has a hack for elevating casual clothes, and that is to change your belt.
She explained: “Let’s say I’m wearing a shirt dress. I remove the standard belt that comes with the dress, and I just simply add one of the many belts I’ve collected over the years.
“You can elevate any casual outfit instantly. Such a great little hack.”
