Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have announced their split after five years together.
The couple met on Love Island and went on to be one of the most successful pairings but have confirmed the end of their relationship in a shock statement.
With one of the ITV show’s fairytale love stories coming to a close, it would be easy to despair and think that everlasting romance after a dating show is impossible.
However, there are a few couples who’ve been able to defy the odds – some of whom have stood the test of time, moved in, got engaged, married and even welcomed children together.
From Camilla and Jamie, OGs Cara and Nathan to Jess and Dom – it’s nice to know that not all Love Island couples call it quits.
Let’s take a look back at the Love Island couples still going strong…

Whitney Adebayo became ‘locked off’ with Lochan Nowacki after the pair hit it off following his late arrival.
They were favourites to win in 2023 but shockingly they were knocked off the top spot, and settled for runners-up behind Jess Harding and Sammy Root (who are no longer together).
The pair just celebrated their one-year anniversary together, with a celebratory meal together.
Sharing some snaps from their special night, Whitney wrote: ‘To living, loving, healing, learning and growing with you, happy anniversary.’
‘Locked in always baby,’ Lochan responded.

One couple that did manage to take the top spot is our most recent winners – Mimi Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan.
The series only ended last month so it’s still early days, but they are seemingly smitten with each other.
Grace Jackson and Rueben Collins

They may have just missed out on the final of Love Island, but they are winning in the love department. Since leaving the villa, the pair have gushed over each other on social media.
‘The type of woman empires used to go to war for,’ Reuben wrote under one Instagram photo of Grace.
Joey Essex and Jessy Potts

They had a rocky journey on Love Island, and even briefly split when navigating life in the outside world, but now, they are happier than ever.

Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan snatched the win during the Winter Love Island 2023 series.
They went exclusive during their time on the show after Sanam entered during Casa Amor – making her the first Casa Amor bombshell to win the show.
The couple are now engaged – sweet!
Jessie Wynter and Will Young

Though farmer Will’s time in the Villa was short-lived, his romance with fellow contestant Jessie doesn’t seem to be.
The much-loved couple survived Casa Amor – just about – and left the show arm in arm after coming in fifth place.
Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga
Their fellow Islanders slammed them as incompatible – and Tanya’s head did turn briefly for Martin Akinola – but Shaq and Tanya seem to be proving that to be false as their relationship is still strong.

The pair became the first to share ‘I love yous’ during their series, eventually coming fourth in the final.
Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott
Lucie Donlan from Love Island series five and Luke Mabbott from series six might not have appeared in the same series, but they’re on the same page when it comes to their relationship.
The happy pair met in July 2020, it’s been suggested – while Lucie revealed that she first messaged Luke on social media.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: ‘It’s like a dream come true, whenever we go out people think it’s Bieber.
‘I always fancied him and when I saw he was single, I slid into his DMs. When you like someone you’ve just got to go for it. We went for a picnic.’
Sharing a video on Instagram, Luke reciprocated, writing: ‘2020 has been a very strange year with its ups and downs. I’ve been lucky enough to meet my bestfriend and soul mate! Many more adventures with you in 2021.’
The happy couple got engaged in December 2021, which means a Love Island wedding is on the cards.
Alex and Olivia Bowen
Speaking of weddings… Alex Bowen and Olivia (née Buckland) are one of the show’s biggest success stories.
The couple from series two, which aired back in 2016, were the first-ever Love Islanders to make it from the island all the way down the aisle.
Alex and Olivia wed in 2018 and moved to a five-bedroom property in the countryside, the renovations of which they continually shared with fans on Instagram.
Back in 2021, they revealed plans to try for a baby when the ongoing coronavirus pandemic is over.
And happily, Olivia gave birth to the couple’s first child– a baby boy named Abel Jacob Bowen – on June 10, 2022.
Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey
Another couple to tie the knot were Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey, aka the winners of Love Island series two in 2015.
The couple wed in a romantic ceremony in Canterbury, Kent in 2018, three years after winning their series.
They share two children together, son Freddie and daughter Delilah.
Jess Shears and Dom Lever
Jess Shears and Dom Lever met on series three of Love Island in 2017, and married the following year in 2018 on the Greek island of Mykonos.
In 2019, the couple welcomed a son, Presley, and in 2022 welcomed their second child, a second baby boy whose name has not been publicly revealed.
Jess and Dom currently live in Devon.
Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt
Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt, who also met on the third series of Love Island.
This couple welcomed a baby girl named Nell in October 2020, and officially tied the knot in September 2021.
They welcomed their second baby, a girl named Nora Bell, on May 27, 2022.

Despite a rocky time in the villa thanks to Casa Amor drama, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope still appear to be going strong.
The pair regularly share updates on their Instagram pages after going official boyfriend and girlfriend during last year’s show.
Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page
Tasha and Andrew became the first couple to express their love for each other in last year’s Love Island.
And despite Casa Amor almost tearing them apart, the pair are still together.
The pair even got matching tattoos to express their love after leaving the villa – now that’s commitment.
