Emily in Paris fans don’t recognise star after mind-boggling transformation: ‘No way!’-Pierra Willix-Entertainment – Metro

Emily in Paris viewers have been left doing a double take after not recognising one of the show’s main stars.

After the third season ended with an almighty cliffhanger, the new episodes of season 4 have dropped on Netflix today.

This time around American in Paris Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) tries to navigate her love triangle with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) as well as the former’s impending baby arrival with ex-girlfriend Camille (Camille Razat).

It’s been teased that ‘from the French Alps to the piazzas of Rome, viewers will vicariously experience amazing new locations through Emily’s eyes. Expect new characters, a lot more drama, romance, and a whole new language to try and master.’

This week the cast have been attending premieres for the new season around the world, but photos taken from the Los Angeles event left many très confuse.

French actor Lucas, 36, might have been out of his character’s chef whites in a T-shirt and denim jacket however it was his long hair and moustache that made him look completely unrecognisable, with Gabriel being clean cut in the past three seasons of the show.

‘I was looking at the photo like…WHO IS THAT,’ user wilmiak posted on Instagram.

‘Who’s the dude with 70’s dress aesthetic? Cool,’ Hayley shared.

After being alerted to who it was, she added: ‘No way?!!! He looks so different! Didn’t recognise him.’

‘My brain was very much disappointed trying to find him in the picture lol,’ Rachel wrote.

Many didn’t even notice him in the line-up and called him ‘unrecognisable’ and some went so far as to comment: ‘Where is Gabriel?’

Another joked he’d ‘time travelled’ back to the 1970s.

The actor wasn’t the only cast member to undergo a hair transformation ahead of the new season, with star Lily recently cutting her long tresses into a chin-grazing bob.

Posting a photo on social media of her new hairstyle in June, she captioned the post: ‘New hair era unlocked.

When seeing photos of her at the LA premiere, there was a very different reaction from fans, with many declaring the new look ‘so cute’.

Before the new episodes dropped, Lily also promised viewers this season would be just as eventful, also confirming her character would go on an Italian adventure.

‘While Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday,’ she teased.
