His manager paid tribute.
BeatKing, also known as ClubGodzilla, has died aged 39
Rapper BeatKing has died at the age of 39.
The musician and music producer – real name Justin Riley – also went by ClubGodzilla, and was mostly known for his 2020 track, Then Leave, which went viral on TikTok.
His manager, Tasha Felder, confirmed the news of his death in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Thursday.
‘Today, August 15, 2024, we have lost @Clubgodzilla. BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade,’ it read.
‘He has produced and worked with so many artists, that his sound will forever live.
‘He loved his daughters @clubgodpartenting, his music and his fans. We will love him forever.’
His manager confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media.
Felder shared no other information on the cause of his death.
Many flocked to the comments below Riley’s latest Instagram post – shared on July 24 – with their own tributes.
B2tymes wrote: ‘Long live beat king, Texas legend club god fr.’
‘DAMN IMMA MISS YOU MAN #RIP,’ DJCocoz replied.
‘Rip G damn this caught me off guard,’ Doublemkeyz shared.
Whoisgant penned: ‘Rest in Peace Club God! Houston will never be the same!’
TheRealChipsxo added: ‘RIP LEGEND you made my college days so lit you will be missed.’
Houston star Riley initially began his career in music as part of his church band, before stepping into the spotlight in the early 2010s, becoming a huge name in Southern rap.

Although his most notable song came with Then Leave, which became a huge hit thanks to TikTok, he also dropped Thick with DJ Chase that same year, which boasts more than 50million listens on Spotify.
As well as this, he released an epic collaboration, SDAB, with 2Chainz and Juicy J, and worked with Ludacris and Queendom Come on Keep It Poppin’.
His death comes just weeks after the release of his latest album, Never Leave Houston On A Sunday, which came out on July 26.
Riley is survived by his two daughters.
