00s singer says reunion won’t happen because former bandmates ‘can’t organise dinner’-Danni Scott-Entertainment – Metro

It seems like every 00s band is getting back together for a reunion these days, but The Saturdays have crushed our childhood dreams.
Sorry to fans of the Ego hitmakers, but Frankie Bridge, Una Healy, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, and Vanessa White will not be touring.
The girl group climbed the charts in 2008 with their debut single If This Is Love, which became an instant top 10 hit in the UK.
Their debut album Chasing Lights soon followed, with more chart-topping tracks like Up and Issues.
However, in 2014 the group went on an extended hiatus and have not released new music since.
Rochelle, 35, confirmed the sad fate of the group while filming the BBC show The Hit List with husband and JLS icon Marvin Humes, 39.

‘I’ll be totally honest, it’s hard to get the five of us in a room for dinner,’ the Higher singer revealed while co-hosting the music quiz show in Glasgow.
‘Our group chat is always one of us suggesting drinks, but we can never decide on a date that suits everyone,’ she laughed. ‘We were a lot better when one person was in control of our diary.’
JLS have also recently reunited and headed out on tour again, after rising to fame on The X Factor in 2007.
During their chart domination, the five-piece secured 13 top-10 singles and eight top-five tracks plus a number-one.
The Saturdays’ final album was released in 2013, titled Living for The Weekend, which contained the single What About Us — the group’s first UK number one.
No official split was announced but the group stopped releasing music after this and have not formally reunited on stage in the decade since.
Rochelle added: ‘Everyone has their own things going on or they’re busy with the kids – never say never though.
‘I never want to be the one to disappoint the fans, but I highly doubt a reunion any time soon.’
She and Frankie, 35, have been friends for many years, having been in band S Club 8 — also known as S Club Juniors — together in the early 00s.
In 2023, Molly, 37, revealed that she would be up for a The Saturdays reunion just like Girls Aloud has done recently.
‘I am so excited about Girls Aloud! I’m going to be front row,’ she told Rolling Stone UK at the time and teased: ‘I’m going to say, never say never!’

Frankie said the exact same thing when asked by Hello about the reunion possibility but didn’t feel now was the right time.
‘We never fell out,’ she shared. ‘We never really officially broke up or anything, so the option has kind of always been there.’
‘It’s something that I think some of us would like to do, but not right now. I think no one’s really ready, especially [with] Girls Aloud just coming back.’
Una, 42, also shared reunion hopes with Bizarre: ‘I would love to do something with the girls again. I’m ready for it, any time.
‘If the phone call came to say, “You’re going back on tour in six months”, I’d be like, “Yes, absolutely, bring it on”.’
