Love is Blind viewers have apparently fallen in love themselves after getting to know contestant Freddie Powell.

After airing six seasons of the U.S series, Netflix turned its attention to helping UK singles find love.

Hosted by Matt and Emma Willis, the reality dating series sees people consider fall in love and get engaged despite not being able to see what the person they are talking to looks like.

Premiering earlier this month, viewers have embraced watching the love stories between several couples develop, including that of dental nurse Catherine Richards from Jersey and funeral director Freddie from Bolton.

Many have praised the 32-year-old, with one fan posting on social media: ‘Freddie is possibly the best man to ever exist in the entire #LoveIsBlind universe.’

However, there’s been friction between the couple in their relationship so far, with some questioning if they will ‘make it’.

But ahead of the final two episodes of the show being released this week, here’s everything we know about Freddie.

How old is Freddie?

Freddie is a 32-year-old and from Bolton in Greater Manchester.

What is his job?

Freddie works as a funeral director however has said his unusual profession has put potential girlfriends off in the past.

‘As a funeral director I am surrounded by death every day, which will scare people away. It has affected my dating. It limits how I can meet people,’ he said.

When clocking off from work, Freddie regularly hits the gym, sharing photos showing off his physique.

‘Giving the gym a go. Lost weight and my pants don’t fit – but feeling fitter physically and mentally. Always keep going,’ he captioned a post last year.

Does he have any siblings?

Brought up by his mum, Freddie has a sister and a brother. His brother Jack has Down’s syndrome, with Freddie once sharing he was the ‘most caring and loving person’ he knows.

‘It brought challenges, but it also taught me a lot about compassion, patience and understanding. He is the most caring and loving person I have ever met,’ he explained.

‘Not an ounce of negative judgement towards anyone in his body. Only pure love – he’s perfect,’ he added.

Freddie has shared snaps with his brother on social media before, including a sweet photo smiling together earlier this month.

After spending time with Cat in their respective pods, Freddie and Cat got engaged before going on their honeymoon in Corfu.

However, there might be trouble in paradise after Freddie expressed concerns about Cat being high maintenance, while she was less than impressed that he wanted her to sign a prenup before they tied the knot.

It comes after viewers were worried the pair could be related when they discovered their grandparents shared the same names.

When still in their pods, Cat mentioned that her middle name Mary was a tribute to her grandmother, to which Freddie also revealed that his nana had the same name.

They then realised that their grandfathers were both called Bill as well.

While the pair thought it was a sign they were meant to be together, others joked they could be cousins and needed to do a DNA test.
