Love Is Blind UK has taken the nation by storm, with fans eagerly awaiting to see who says ‘I do’ at the altar.

The Netflix programme, hosted by Matt Willis and Emma Willis, has already dropped plenty of explosive moments, and viewers have been sharing their theories over which couples may still be together.

It’s safe to say, after plenty of tears, love triangles and tantrums, Love Is Blind UK has been an emotional rollercoaster.

But it turns out, this isn’t some of the stars’ first time in front of the camera, and three contestants have had past brushes with fame.

Here’s what we know about their secret TV appearances before Love Is Blind…

Nicole Stevens

Nicole has been involved in a love triangle that’s been dominating this season of Love Is Blind UK, with Sam and Benaiah, but fans have been left distracted from her Netflix stint after realising she appeared on another popular TV show.

In a 2021 episode of Come Dine With Me, Nicole attempted to win over her competitors with her curried lamb – and a rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You.

After revealing she was once in a band with her maths teachers, Nicole broke into song, but sadly, failed to impress her dinner guests and finished in fourth place.

‘She’s no stranger to cameras at all,’ Reddit user @spiritedskykid wrote.

‘Omg I swear I thought I had seen her before,’ @wifebert added, as @SuspiciousNorth377 said: ‘I don’t think she was looking for fame. I don’t think people on cooking shows are the same as people on dating shows.’

Bobby Johnson

Love Is Blind UK star Bobby, 33, is now best known for pairing up with mental health nurse Jasmine, 29, on the Netflix series, but like Nicole, this isn’t his first time on TV.

In fact, Bobby appeared on a season one episode of gameshow Moneyball, in November 2021.

Introducing him on the ITV series, Ian Wright commented that he has a ‘Lewis Hamilton’ vibe, to which Bobby confirmed that he used to work as a lookalike for the Formula One racing driver.

‘Very handsome,’ Ian added, as Bobby went on to say he also worked as a personal trainer and a rapper, before showing off his skills on the programme.

‘You’ve got bars for real!’ the host praised.

Ahead of winning any money, Bobby – who now works as a luxury shopping guide – revealed his plans for the prize, to set up his own personal training company and help his mum out with a burger van.

In the end, Bobby walked away with £31,000, saying: ‘I’m buzzing! My heart is pounding but I’m so happy.’

Freddie Powell

Freddie also has a link to fame (Picture: Netflix)

While Freddie doesn’t seem to have appeared on another TV show, he does have a link to fame.

In fact, two of his friends that he follows on social media are already in the spotlight.

When choosing his wedding suit before marrying Catherine, the 32-year-old funeral director met his friend Jamie Corbett for support, who is actually the partner of InTheStyle founder Adam Frisby.

The pair have appeared on TV before, having fronted BBC documentary Breaking Fashion.

After featuring on Love Is Blind, Jamie wrote on Instagram: ‘Lots of you messaging me about Love Is Blind… Yes the new nations heartthrob @freddieppowell happens to be one of my best friends so you’ll see me pop up a couple of times during the show!

‘I’m super proud of him, and so glad you’re all loving him as much as all his friends and family do.’

He told Freddie on the show: ‘I’ve never heard you say you love anyone.’

He added: ‘I’ve known Freddie for a long time, he’s always someone that’s been in relationships and taken his time, but the experiment for Freddie has been really, really good.

‘He’s been given a wedding date, and from what he’s telling me about Cat and the person she is and how he feels about her, I think they can make it work.’

Love Is Blind UK is available to watch on Netflix with new episodes dropping on Wednesday.
