Living up to her name of Sexxy Red, the US rapper has released a make-up line filled with explicit lip gloss names.

The 26-year-old star is best known for her hit song Pound Town so it’s no surprise her beauty line is causing a stir by being a little too suggestive.

While still a relatively small artist, with just over 14k monthly Spotify listeners, Sexxy Red has risen to fame due to her connection with Drake.

The duo have collaborated on two songs; Rich Baby Daddy ft Sza and U Me Everything, both of which were released this year.

To coincide with her blossoming music career, Sexxy Red — real name Janae Wherry — has also launched her very own make-up line.

‘Introducing NORTHSIDE PRINCESS the brand & my first product will b my lipgloss I’m so excited,’ she wrote on X.

The names have caused a huge commotion online (Picture: sexyyred/Instagram)

She posed with a stack of collection boxes as well as sharing the names of the individual lip glosses, which caused quite a commotion in her comments.

Some of the tamer names for the fruit-scented products were named ‘Bootyhole Brown’, ‘Nut’, ‘Blue Ballz’, and ‘Sex on My Period’.

The most offending names, according to commenters, were the lip glosses ‘Coochie Juice’, ‘Pussyhole Pink’, ‘Yellow Discharge’, and ‘Gonorrhea’.

‘Yellow discharge wtf I wish i have not seen this 😭😭,’ wrote royal_bobby24 in the announcement comments.

‘You are truly a disgrace. Ew,’ slammed xavierjaron as itsMuvaMagic added: ‘This is weird.’

‘I’m sorry this is so classless and disgusting 💀,’ said thewickedsub while hazzzanna commented: ‘Naming a lip gloss “gonorrhea” is…..ew.’

‘Girl… why would you name those shades that?’ asked arianaunext. ‘Nobody wanna put gonorrhea on their lips 😭.’

Others claimed the explicit branding would be detrimental to the company as people would not take the make-up seriously.

Paulie said: ‘And just like that you made your brand a joke novelty that will be purchased once as an “lol” rather than a marketable brand. Y’all literally have Rihanna as a successful blue print and you did this.. yikes’

Many were comparing the triumph of Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty or Nars to Wherry’s launch, stating she had blocked herself from high end stores.

‘This the kinda s**t you will find in a Spencer’s store at the mall,’ warned 713Capital. ‘You ain’t getting in Macy’s with those flavors 😂.’

Jamila added: ‘You can be vulgar & risqué without being disgusting lmfaooo. NARS collection is a great example. Go back to the drawing board Sexyy cause this ain’t it pookie.’

She seemed unfazed by the complaints (Picture: sexyyred/Instagram)

High-end brand Nars is known for their cheeky ‘orgasm’ blush range which is a best seller, meanwhile Fenty only goes as far as ‘hot cheeks’ in it’s risque names.

Wherry and Rihanna aren’t the only singers-turned-make-up-moguls though with Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, and Ariana Grande also taking on the beauty industry.

The lip gloss names are certainly up there as of the more shocking celebrity releases but not quite as startling as Gwyneth Paltrow’s candle launch.

She once released a candle that ‘smells like her vagina’ through her company Goop, retailing for the low price of £58.

The Get It Sexxy was seemingly unfazed by the response, simply tweeting a link to the website where the make-up will be available to purchase.
