Love Is Blind UK’s wedding episodes have dropped today, and they’ve provided us with plenty of drama, wholesomeness, and unexpected plot twists.
It all began when strangers entered Netflix’s social experiment dating show, hosted by Matt and Emma Willis, to see if they could fall in love without ever seeing their romantic interest. They spent hours in the famous ‘pods’, which forced them to get to know each other from either side of a wall.
As conversations progressed from light-hearted to deeply personal, and finally, a little bit flirtatious, six couples took the ultimate leap of faith and got engaged.
Only then did they get to see each other for the first time with an epic reveal. Then, after a jaunt to Greece, and a month of living together, it was time for their wedding days.
Unlike Married at First Sight, the unions are legally binding, so the couples needed to make considered decisions, as the outcome would determine their futures.
Let’s recap who took the plunge, and who walked away…
Steven and Sabrina said ‘I do’

From the moment they first began talking Steven, 37, and Sabrina, 35, seemed to be a match made in heaven.
Throughout their time together, the pair faced no obstacles with everything naturally falling into place, so it was no surprise to viewers that they said ‘I do’ at the top of the aisle.
They promised to continue growing as a couple, and expressed gratitude at finding each other, before partying with their friends and family.
Demi puts herself first

Demi and Ollie’s journey was a little more of a rollercoaster ride, with some of their fellow reality TV stars questioning if Ollie really liked Demi.
Despite it all, they stuck together and forged a strong connection. However, in the days that they spent apart before the wedding, Demi, 30, shared her upset that Ollie, 32, hadn’t contacted her very much, putting doubts in her mind.
So when it was time to make her decision, she said: ‘I love you, but I do not.’

A confused Ollie asked her to explain the reasoning, and Demi responded that she’d learnt to love herself during the journey, which she partly credited to him.
‘I know what I want from a husband and I don’t think we’re there,’ she added.
They vowed that even though they didn’t become spouses, their journey would continue in some capacity.

Bobby, 33, faced a grilling from 29-year-old Jasmine’s protective mother in the days leading up to the wedding and then privately communicated concerns to Jasmine.
‘She has planted her seeds of doubt. I’m feeling very overwhelmed. I’ve been crying non-stop,’ Jasmine revealed on the morning of her wedding.
However, ultimately she trusted her own judgement and agreed to be Bobby’s wife, and he excitedly agreed to be Jasmine’s husband.
They plan to be in it for the long-term, with Jasmine stating that they have a ‘until we’re grey and old type of love’.

It was a rocky road for Benaiah, 33, and Nicole, 29, after she initially accepted a proposal from Sam, 31.
She instantly felt it was the wrong decision, and asked Benaiah if he’d be willing to try to build on the foundations they built in the booth.
Together, they continued on in the experiment, and Benaiah proudly declared ‘rough waters make good sailors’ as he committed to a future together.
The couple looked besotted as they celebrated becoming husband and wife.
Freddie walks away from Catherine

Freddie, 32, and Catherine, 29, made each other howl with laughter in the pods, and bonded over their close relationship with family, which led to a proposal.
The next chapter saw them, alongside the rest of the engaged cast, flying across to Greece and on the first night they had sex… twice.
The chemistry was abundant, but they faced issues such as Catherine’s discovery Freddie had cheated in the past, and Catherine’s friends disagreeing with Freddie’s desire for a prenuptial agreement.
While Catherine agrees to marry Freddie, he shocks his bride by walking away.
Cetherine was excited to get married but felt ‘numb’ when Freddie said ‘I don’t’ (Picture: Netflix)
‘I love you Cat, but the timing might not be right for us,’ he stated.
The congregation couldn’t contain their shock, as Freddie walked back down the aisle a single man.
He tried to comfort Catherine, but she asked him not to hug her. Shortly after, Catherine briskly walked past the groom and asked to be left alone.
‘I feel numb. I just feel really unwanted,’ she confessed to the cameras.
Later, the couple reunited in a hotel room, and he apologised for the choice he had to make.
Maria and Tom’s values couldn’t align in time

Maria, 30, and Tom, 38, made it clear they were very into each other when they snogged during their first face-to-face meeting. Not even Maria’s red lipstick covering his face could slow these two lovebirds.
However, despite their obvious chemistry and the foundations they built in the booth, they faced differing opinions on some core values.
One disagreement came from Maria sharing her upset that Tom didn’t pay for their first date. Ultimately, Tom decided that if they had children he wouldn’t want to raise boys to accept having to pay for everything, and worried that he wouldn’t be able to raise any potential daughters as strong and independent.
‘I am taken aback. I’ve always wanted to get married, it’s always been the end goal for me. Him saying no hurt me, and there is always going to be a sadness in me because I really wish our paths could have been different,’ stated Maria.
Now, viewers just have one week to wait to discover who made a go of it without their wedding rings, and if the couples who chose to live in matrimony are still going strong.
Love Is Blind wedding episodes are available to watch on Netflix now. The reunion will air on August 26 at 9pm.
