‘Nope, it’s August’ shoppers groan as classic autumn outfit hits Primark shelves – but some as racing to snap it up

IT’S not been the best summer that the UK has had in terms of weather.

That’s why thousands of Brits are eager to kick on with autumn so they can whack out their cosy clothes.

And in true Primark fashion, it’s picking up on what weather-fatigued people are putting down.

The fast fashion retailer has dropped some of its autumn range already – including cosy tracksuits.

“Did somebody say sweatshirt season?” its social media team penned on Instagram alongside a picture of a jumper and joggers set.

They showcased Primark’s new Graphic Skinny Fit Joggers and matching Graphic Sweatshirt in beige, with “Beverly Hills” emblazoned in blue on both pieces.

The full set will set you back just £18 and some fashionistas are racing to pick it up.

“I love this set,” one commented.

“I’ve already got the jumper,” a second beamed.

But not everyone is convinced by Primark flogging autumn clothes already.

“Nope, it’s August,” one Instagram user groaned.

“There are jumpers in Primark,” shopper Sarah Bowerman echoed on X, formerly Twitter.

“It has begun.

“Fashion for autumn and winter in August.

“I don’t want to say goodbye to the daylight.”

It was revealed earlier this week that Primark has officially launched its Halloween homeware collection for this year.

Fabulous’ Deputy Fashion Editor on why Primark PJs are so popular

ABBY McHale reveals why Primark is renowned for its nightwear section.

Taking over large sections of the stores it has everything from trend led satin styles, to fluffy Disney PJ’s and everything in between.
Plus it means you can head to bed looking and feeling good without having to break the bank.
It’s also a great place to bag yourself a pyjama dupe.
Last year Primark had a great version of the Skims pyjamas and its latest dupe is that from Victoria’s Secret.
The pink striped pyjamas are a great match for that of the American lingerie brand, I even have a pair myself.
They’re lightweight, super comfortable and only a fraction of the price – what’s not to love.

And now, it’s promoting sweatshirt and jogger sets to fit the chilly theme.

Autumn is the season of layering up in preparation for the harsh British winter.

When leaves start to fall in September, a change in wardrobe is essential for most of us.

Put away are breezy summer dresses and lightweight tees, and in their place comes the ultimate autumn outfit: a tracksuit.

Maybe getting prepared and nabbing one in August isn’t such a bad idea after all.
