Ruth Langsford is reportedly serious about Eamonn Holmes fully moving out of their once-shared home in Surrey.

The Loose Women panellist is said to want to start a ‘clean slate’ and therefore has given Eamonn, who is allegedly living in a London apartment, a final warning to pick up any remaining belongings before she takes action.

Her request is due to Ruth, 64, not wanting ‘constant reminders’ of when she resided in the abode with Eamonn, also 64, it is claimed.

‘Ruth doesn’t want him to feel like he can pop back and forth when he likes to grab bits,’ a source added.

They continued to Bella magazine: ‘She wants a clean slate and has even told friends she might change the locks.’

The publication’s insider said Ruth would take them to a skip if they were not collected, and her friends have even joked about a car boot sale.

The former couple – who share son Jack, 22 – announced their split three months ago in a joint statement after 14 years of marriage and a 27-year relationship.

‘Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing,’ it read.

Sources claimed to The Sun that their work commitments ‘took them in different directions’, but they were determined to remain friends and ‘keep things amicable’.

Neither party has publicly discussed the reason for their separation, but instead, Eamonn thanked fans for their support when he returned to GB News in May.

‘Your support for both of us is very much appreciated,’ he simply said.

Just before their split, Ruth said it ‘isn’t always easy’ providing care for Eamonn. The GB News presenter is recovering from surgery and an injury to his shoulder, and has been seen using a walking crutch since 2021 after he slipped three discs in his back.

‘I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope,’ she said.

‘He does the physio, but there might have to be some acceptance that this might never be 100% right.’

Ruth added to Woman’s Weekly: ‘With any care situation – and there are millions of carers in this country – it isn’t always easy. It’s testing but we manage as a family.’

The popular former couple met in 1995 while Eamonn was presenting GMTV when they were introduced by a mutual friend.

Two years earlier, Eamonn had split from his first wife, Gabrielle Holmes.

Ruth joined This Morning in 2000 as a guest presenter, before bagging a regular slot in 2006 alongside Philip Schofield. Later that year, Eamonn was introduced and the pair began hosting together. They were replaced as the regular Friday presenters by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary in November 2020.

Eamonn reportedly sent his ex-wife Ruth a reassuring message after false rumours recently emerged he was engaged to friend Katie Alexander.
