‘Never been more excited for a Primark drop’ cry shoppers as iconic 80s merchandise hits stores

MICHAEL Keaton returns to our screens to cause more trouble in the long-awaited Beetlejuice sequel next month.

The star, 72, is back as the mischief-making demon more than 35 years on from the original.

Winona Ryder returns as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O’Hara is reprising her role as her mother Delia.

The Deetz family has also grown since the ’80s as newcomer Jenna Ortega, 21, joins the cast as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid Deetz.

And to get fans excited for the horror comedy flick, again directed by Tim Burton, Primark has launched an epic collection of branded Beetlejuice pyjamas and loungewear.

It’s the latest nostalgic comeback to be marked by the high street giant, just days after the return of 90s favourite Groovy Chick.

Primark bosses said: “Say ‘Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!’ and get cosy in our Beetlejuice [range].

“It’s perfect for the chilly season or whenever you want to feel snug, while the embroidered Beetlejuice text on the front adds an extra ghostly touch.

“Ideal for movie nights, chilling with friends, or staying warm on a cold day – just add popcorn and your favourite Tim Burton flick!

“Whether you’re haunting the house or just hanging out, it is the ultimate comfy companion.”

Staff at the retailer’s Braehead store, near Glasgow, shared a sneak peek of the new merchandise on their shop floor over the weekend.

Shoppers can bag Victoria’s Secret-esque pyjamas in the iconic Beetlejuice black and white stripe for £22, adults T-shirts for a tenner, and cute monochrome chequered kid’s jumper for £12.

There’s also hoodies, oversized ‘snuddies’, £8 slippers and £4 hats up for grabs.

Fans of the cult movie can even pick up branded cups, water bottles, mugs, makeup bags, hairbrushes and makeup sponges.

The Braehead store’s clip has proved a huge hit, going viral with more than 1.5million views over the weekend.

One person gushed: “The decorations will be out all year round!!!! Never been more excited for a Primark drop!”

A second screamed: “OMG IMA CRY I NEED ALL OF THIS BUT IM BROKE.”

“We need a trip to Primark. Love it allllll”, chimed in a third.

A fourth insisted: “I am RUNNING.”

“We need to visit Primark”, insisted another person.

And a sixth echoed: “I’ll take them ALL.”

But it looks like it’s only selected stores that have the spooky movie collab for now, with many fans left gutted they can’t get a hold of it.

One sighed: “I didn’t see a single one of these things when I went today!”

“I was in Trinity Primark today and none of these”, said someone else.

A third fumed: “Been in 2 shops…. nothing. Why not in all the Primarks?”

“I was there yesterday and that was not there, I’m so annoyed”, said someone else.

Meanwhile, a fifth wrote: “Hate the fact it’s not in all stores. Went to my local one today and they only had the wooden plaque.”

Why is Primark the place to go to for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it’s down to four points.

They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
They “do very little advertising”
While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.
