Liam and Noel Gallagher have announced that Oasis will go on tour for the first time in years, and recent photographs have sparked new hopes that there might be an upcoming album.
After a dramatic split in 2009, it has been announced that 15 years after they parted ways, the brothers have buried the hatchet and Oasis is set to reunite for a world tour in 2025.
The news has sent fans into a tizzy as many scramble to try and secure tickets and get themselves set for what promises to be a gig of a lifetime.
The intense excitement has also led to speculation about surprises the band may have lined up for their fans.
On Wednesday, August 28, the day after the reunion was announced, Noel Gallagher was snapped walking into a North London recording studio with an I Love Manchester keychain.
Fans are now speculating – or perhaps just hoping – that the star heading into a recording studio could be a sign that Oasis is set to release new music and a new album.

‘What if they surprise us with a new song on the concerts,’ said inthesunshiiine on X after the images emerged online of Noel in the studio.
‘New Oasis album? 👀🤝🔥’ said one fan Rikgilbert hopefully.
‘Are they recording a new oasis track for the tour by any chance,’ Johnefc91 added.
Some even speculated that poetic lines used in the announcement of their tour- ‘The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised’ – could be hinting at new lyrics.
‘I think the Guns have fallen silent thing they put out are lyrics to a new song,’ said MarkL75259926.
To which another fan, Hiiliketrees replied: ‘Thats a good shout actually.’

Noel has released four albums with his rock band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, since Oasis split in 2009.
The group’s first solo album was self-titled and was released in 2011. The second album Chasing Yesterday was released in 2015, Who Built the Moon? was released in 2017, and the fourth album Council Skies was released most recently in June 2023.
Liam also joined another band after Oasis and was the lead singer for Beady Eye between 2009 and 2014. He then went on to have a solo career.

In April 2024, Noel revealed that he was ‘scrapping’ the acoustic album he’d been working on.
‘By the way, I’ve scrapped the acoustic album finally, can’t f**kng do it anymore. Yeah, it got six tunes in, and I was so bored with the arrangement of it all and the kind of slow pace of it all and, actually what made me think, right fuck it, I’m not doing it,’ he said on Matt Morgan’s podcast.

He then added that he was instead going to make a ‘defiant rock record’ to be released by the end of the year.
‘It was too down. Acoustic tunes tend to be quite down. I need to make a defiant rock record and that’s what I’m gonna do. Sorry everyone. I do apologise if anyone had their hearts set on it.”
‘So in my head now if I could demo it all by the end of the year or start to record it proper by the end of the year, could be… dunno…not next year cos then I’d have to go back out on tour next year and I’m not doing that. 2026 maybe?’
So perhaps the singer is just working on this ‘defiant rock record’ or perhaps he’s cooking something new up for the reunion tour, we will just have to wait and see!
