LeAnn Rimes began her music career when she was just a teenager, since going on to sell a staggering 48 million records worldwide.

Born Margaret LeAnn Rimes, she released her first single, Blue at 13-years-old, with her 1996 album of the same name certified six times Platinum.

The following year her song How Do I Live hit the charts, becoming one of the best-selling singles of the 1990s.

Since then, she’s released another 16 albums, and also appeared in several TV shows and films, including one where she met her husband, Eddie Cibrian.

This year LeAnn, 42, also became a coach on both The Voice Australia and The Voice UK, the latter of which returns to screens tonight.

Eddie Cibrian is an American actor best known for his roles as Cole Deschanel on the television series Sunset Beach and Jimmy Doherty on Third Watch.

His other notable television roles include Matt Clark in The Young and the Restless, Russell Varon in Invasion, Jesse Cardoza in CSI: Miami and Eddie Valetik in Take Two.

The now 51-year-old also guest-starred in Saved by the Bell: The College Years, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Criminal Minds, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Ugly Betty.

Some of his best-known films include the cult classic But I’m a Cheerleader and The Best Man Holiday.

In addition to acting, Eddie sang in the soul-pop boy band 3Deep from 1998 to 2001.

The couple met when working together on the Lifetime TV film Northern Lights, which was based on the 2004 novel of the same name by Nora Roberts.

At the time he was married to Brandi Glanville, best known for appearing on the reality television series’ The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Celebrity Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother, as well as The Traitors last year.

However, the couple announced their separation after eight years of marriage in July 2009 when it was revealed he and LeAnn had an affair.

At the time she was still married to dancer Dean Sheremet.

LeAnn and Eddie got engaged in December 2010 before getting married in April the following year.

In 2010 LeAnn spoke for the first time about the end of her first marriage, sharing: ‘I take responsibility for everything I’ve done. I hate that people got hurt, but I don’t regret the outcome.’

LeAnn and Dean had married in 2002 when she was 19.

LeAnn and Eddie do not have any children together, however she is step-mother to his two sons with Brandi, Mason, 21, and Jake, 17.

The singer previously told ET she still questioned if she wanted her own children.

‘I get it every once in a while. I’m trying to figure out what it is that stirs it. I haven’t figured that out yet, because every once in a while I’ll be like, “What is making me want a baby, like, right now?”. I haven’t figured that out yet, but it hasn’t stuck. Maybe one day… I mean, I love my stepkids and I’ve got plenty on my plate with them. So, I’m cool at the moment,’ she shared.

The Voice UK returns tonight at 8pm to ITV1.
