‘Need these in every colour’, cry shoppers as cosy autumn staple returns to Primark shelves

SEPTEMBER has officially arrived, meaning most of us are now hunting out the knitwear and cosy autumn outfits.

The dark nights and colder temperatures mean the big jumpers, thicker trousers and cosy boots will all be returning to our wardrobes.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t still glam up with knitted dresses and long skirts.

Primark’s Velvet Plush Lined Leggings and Tights mean we can still get dressed up while keeping our legs toasty and warm.

The bargain retail giant caused a frenzy with the cosy collection last year, quickly selling out in stores across the country.

So it’s unsurprising that the fashion chain has brought them back for 2024 in a range of different colours.

Primark bosses have hailed the tights and leggings as being “the ultimate combination of comfort, style and warmth” this autumn.

Describing the leggings, they said, “Keep cosy without compromising on comfort”, adding that “regular leggings just won’t cut it after you wear our velvet plush tights”.

Will be stocking up on these again this year… So warm and comfy perfect for winter

They have each been designed with 92 per cent Polyester and eight per cent Elastane to create the perfect fit.

The tights are currently available in navy blue and black and come in sizes XS/S, S/M, M/L, L/XL and XL/XXL.

While the leggings come in sand, black, grey marl, navy/denim, tan and chocolate brown.

They are also available in sizes XS/S, S/M, M/L, L/XL and XL/XXL.

And at just £6 for the tights and £7 for leggings, you’ll have to be quick if you want to snap any of them up.

Primark bosses excitedly announced that it had returned to shelves on social media this week.

And fans are already racing to their nearest branch to get a hold of the new colours.

Flocking to the comments of the Instagram post, shoppers called them “perfect for winter”.

One person said: “The best! Loved these last autumn and winter”.

Another added: “Will be stocking up on these again this year… So warm and comfy perfect for winter”.

Someone else wrote: “Need these in every colour!!”

While a fourth chimed in: “Always say I’m going to get these for winter”.

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it’s down to four points.

They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
They “do very little advertising”
While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.
