Josie Gibson has confirmed that she’s taking a significant break from This Morning as she takes on a brand new unexpected venture.
For the past five years, the TV personality has become one of the fan-favourite stars on the flagship ITV programme.
The 39-year-old regularly fronts the show with co-hosts including Craig Doyle, Alison Hammond and Rylan Clark.
However, according to Josie, it’s going to be a little while until viewers get to see her next on This Morning, as she’s taking a hiatus while she works on another project.
In a new interview, the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Big Brother star has revealed when she’s going to be back in the ITV studio – and audiences will have to wait a little while until her return.
‘I’ve got loads of things in the pipeline, I’m still very involved with This Morning, I’m very grateful for This Morning and everything they’ve helped me with because they grew me as a presenter,’ she told The Express.

In the meantime, Josie is going to be doing a three-part travel series for Channel 5 delving into first-class travel, with filming reportedly set to begin this week.
The presenter continued: ‘I should be around at Christmas on the [This Morning] sofa, so then I will get back on the road and try to make it all work as much as I can.’
She expressed her excitement over having the chance to explore ‘how the other half live’ on first class travel, adding: ‘You know when you walk through the aeroplane and you think, I wonder what is that way? I’m going to be seeing all the stuff that is the other way.’
Josie joked that it was a ‘tough gig’ to be a part of, as she looked forward to filming being underway soon.

At this year’s National Television Awards, Josie missed out on a nomination in the TV presenter category, as personalities Alison Hammond, Ant & Dec, Bradley Walsh, Claudia Winkleman and Stacey Solomon all received nods.
However, This Morning is up for the gong in the daytime category, going up against Deal or No Deal, Loose Women, The Chase and The Repair Shop.
In August, Josie shared a sweet post on Instagram of herself with her son Reggie, writing in her caption: ‘Every day is a gift. I would love my time back so I can relive it all again with this little munchkin.’
One fan called Debby responded sweetly by writing: ‘I’ve seen Reggie look at you like this so many times he’s in awe of his mummy
‘You are absolutely smashing it. Life gets tough at times but everything you have done is for this little dude… to have so many precious memories with him. I love your adventures with him.’
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
