Johnny Depp appears to have a new set of teeth.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 61, flashed a whiter smile than usual in a recent video on social media, with many taking to the comments section to remark on his apparent dental work.

The clip was posted by a bartender at Lorraine Cafe in the Bahamas, who recorded the moment Depp came into his waterhole, and commented alongside the video: ‘Jack Sparrow meets the killerbartender of Exuma Bahamas. Once in a lifetime moments with Mr Johnny Depp.’

In the video Depp appeared to channel his rum-drinking famous character Captain Jack Sparrow as they joked about the rum always being gone and chatted over a drink.

The bartender revealed that Depp was staying on the island and visited the café for his house special drink.

But many fans were distracted by Depp’s whiter-than-white teeth, as @larxissa.h asked: ‘Am I right to see that his teeth are locking brighter than ever before???’

‘Is it me or does his teeth look more straight?’ said user stillwellhomeschool2.

Another fan haywood9111 said they were ‘worried he might lose his teeth before’ but that ‘someone did wonderful work on his teeth’.

‘The pirate teeth are gone. Pearly whites look beautiful,’ commented cindymabin.

‘Johnny Depp has new teeth! thank god,’ wrote foxrun1970.

This comes in contrast to Depp’s outing at Cannes Film Festival last year, when the internet went into overdrive at his ‘rotten’ teeth.

Hitting the red carpet for the premiere of his film Jeanne du Barry, people seemed to be more concerned with his teeth than his acting.

From: ‘Johnny Depp’s teeth are crying out for help,’ to ‘Johnny Depp’s teeth appear to be rotting’ and even ‘Johnny Depp’s teeth are literally ROTTING,’ Twitter users were quick to make it clear they weren’t fans of the Oscar-nominated star’s teeth.

Someone else went so far as to say: ‘Very very very inspired to brush my teeth, floss and use a tongue scraper every time I see a pic of Johnny Depp at Cannes.’

This comes as it was reported earlier this summer that after Depp and Amber Heard’s very public split – which came with their infamously bleak defamation battle – the Sweeney Todd actor is dating a Russian model named Yulia Vlasova, who is 33 years his junior.

Yulia first met the actor in 2021 and they’ve been spotted hanging out on several occasions in the years since.

A source confirmed to Metro.co.uk that they were getting to know one another, but their relationship was still ‘casual’.

Depp and Heard were married from 2015 to 2017 then, in 2022, their relationship well and truly hit the headlines when a jury was asked to determine whether she had her defamed ex-husband in a Washington Post op-ed written in 2018.

In the article, the movie star discussed experiencing domestic abuse but didn’t name Johnny.

Depp’s legal team argued that the article had harmed his reputation and career, and sought millions of dollars in damages. Heard countersued.

The Edward Scissorhands actor was awarded $10million in compensatory damages, plus another $5million in punitive damages – however, the latter was reduced to Virginia’s maximum of $350,000 by Judge Penney Azcarate.

Heard won one of her three defamation counterclaims and was awarded $2million.

This verdict was contrary to a similar case in 2020, in which Depp sued owners of The Sun (News Group Newspapers Ltd)over an article that called him a ‘wife beater’.

But a high court judge rejected the libel case, ruling that the published material was ‘substantially true’.
