There are 16 singletons, made up of nine brides and seven grooms, who will be walking up the aisle.

First up is 32-year-old Ross, who is MAFS UK’s first-ever deaf contestant. Hailing from Manchester, he works as a painter and decorator and is a keen cook.

He is joined by fellow grooms, Adam, a 33-year-old barber from Nottingham who is eager to settle down, Alex, 32, an aviation operations worker harbouring a dream of becoming a boxer and New Forest-based Casper, a 34-year-old head gardener.

There’s also 28-year-old former clown turned mechanic Kieran, from Newcastle, Nathan, 24, an engineer from Somerset who is tired of dating ‘gym bunnies and models’ and project engineer Orson, 41, from St Kitts and Nevis.

Kicking off the brides squad is 31-year-old sales manager Emma, from Bristol, who is a nature addict, Sacha, 29, an aesthetic practitioner who lives in Birmingham with two cats and Kristina, 31, a dog walker from East Sussex.

Also looking for love are Eve, 31, a lifeguard and fitness instructor from Omagh, 29-year-old beautician Holly, a single mum-of-two from Huddersfield and ‘life of the party’ Charlie, 30, a lettings operations co-ordinator from Surrey.

Londoner Richelle 48, a head of alternative investments, careers advisor Polly, 28, from Kent and 27-year-old office manager Lacey, from Hertfordshire round off the line-up.

A TV source previously told MailOnline: ’The new series of Married at First Sight UK is going to be the most dramatic yet.

‘There’s heartbreak, scandal, and couples who fall madly in love after marrying following their first meeting at the altar.

‘After growing in popularity over the years, with the format only continuing to expand, E4 bosses hope viewers will embrace the new couples when the season begins early next month.’

Married At First Sight UK is available to stream or watch live on E4 from 9pm on September 16.
