The Simpsons has been reimagined as a live-action movie in a short trailer, and fans are insisting it now gets made for real.
With some help from AI, a fan has created a faux teaser for a different version of the long-running cartoon.
The characters we all know and love from the programme that has been running since 1989 are played by recognisable actors.
In the hypothetical film, Adam Sandler has the role of Homer Simpson and introduces the other characters in the short clip.
‘Hi there, I’m Homer Simpson,’ the voiceover begins after the theme tune briefly plays.
‘Welcome to our crazy little world, let me introduce you to my family and friends, and some of the other colourful characters in Springfield.’
In the accompanying visuals, Adam, 57, is sitting on an armchair in blue trousers and a white t-shirt, holding a beer.
As promised, we meet his loved ones – Marge Simpson is played by Kristen Wiig, who has the trademark blue hair. While Jacob Tremblay is Bart Simpson, and McKenna Grace is Lisa Simpson.
Will Ferrell has a moustache and glasses to play neighbour Ned Flanders, and completing the imaginary cast are Simon Pegg (Lenny Leonard), Jordan Peele (Carl Carlson), Steve Buscemi (Montgomery Burns), Neil Patrick Harris (Waylon Smithers), Ben Stiller (Moe Syzlack), John C.Reily (Barney Gumble), Zach Galifianakis (Chief Clancy Wiggum), Steve Carell (Principal Seymour Skinner), Kumail Nanjiani (Apu), and Gaten Matarazzo (Millhouse Van Houten).
Each actor has been given a Simpsons-style makeover to look like their cartoon counterpart (although nobody is yellow).

With a cast that star-studded it would certainly need a huge budget, but fans begged for it to be made.
‘Make this happen brah please yall this is a must watch,’ said Rawsteam_comedian239, who posted the trailer.

Crazysoca shouted: ‘THIS NEEDS TO BE REAL.’ ‘Dam I would love to watch this,’ added Itsjustbiga.
‘I don’t care if I gotta go see this by myself .. im in there 🍿🎥… lol,’ typed Therealladylines.
‘The actors look just like the characters 😂 gotta see it through… we need this!’ shared Lucy_amg63s.
Piffysantana114_whmg1w enthused: ‘This is fire they have to make this movie.’
The Simpsons has produced one movie alongside its 35 seasons.
It was released in 2007 but was kept as an animation, rather than a live-action. It grossed over $536million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing adult animated movie of all time.
The film’s plot revolves around Homer irresponsibly polluting Springfield’s local lake, leading to the town having to be placed under a giant glass dome and the Simpsons escaping to Alaska.
The Simpsons is streaming on Disney Plus.
