Friends star Matt LeBlanc made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles on Friday, visiting a car showroom in Van Nuys, just outside the city.

LeBlanc, 57, who became a household name as Joey Tribbiani on the iconic ’90s sitcom, was spotted looking relaxed and in good spirits during the outing.

Dressed casually in a black T-shirt and dark jeans, LeBlanc sported a low-key look.

He completed the ensemble with dark sneakers and a blue baseball cap, keeping a low profile as he browsed the showroom.

This sighting marks LeBlanc’s first public appearance since December, following the tragic passing of his longtime friend and Friends co-star, Matthew Perry, in October.

Since then, LeBlanc has kept largely out of the spotlight, with this outing being one of the few times he’s been seen since the heartbreaking loss of his fellow Friends castmate.

The star has since moved on to other successful roles, including his Emmy-nominated turn on Episodes and hosting Top Gear.

LeBlanc was close to Matthew Perry before his death, and was the first of the core cast to pay tribute.

Alongside images of the pair together, he said: ‘Matthew, it is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life.

‘It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never.

‘Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.’
