As we edge closer to the launch of Strictly Come Dancing 2024, fans have had their detective hats on to try and figure out the pairings – and has another one been uncovered?
This year’s series – which marks Strictly’s 20th anniversary – will see JB Gill, Sarah Hadland, Tasha Ghouri, Pete Wicks, Wynne Evans, Paul Merson, Sam Quek, Nick Knowles, and more take to the dancefloor.
Speculation has been rife for weeks about which pros will be their partners, with viewers convinced Love Island beauty Tasha is paired with Aljaž Škorjanec, who returns after a three-year absence.
In the latest development, Strictly sleuths believe Dianne Buswell’s partner has been uncovered – and it’s Chris McCausland.
The 47-year-old Liverpudlian comedian makes history this year as Strictly’s first-ever blind contestant.
Taking to Reddit, users debated whether they’ve already been given signs that Australian redhead Dianne, 35, will be the one attempting to lead Chris to glitterball victory.

An eagle-eyed forum poster with the username Fine_Promise_1852 uploaded a screenshot to the site after opening their YouTube app and being shown Chris’s Strictly VT and one of Dianne’s own vlogs directly underneath.
In both thumbnails, they are displaying a rock and roll gesture with their hands.
‘Look what coincidentally came up next to each other on my YouTube feed…. Definitely a stretch and just a weird coincidence but maybe a sign who knows 😜🤘’, they wrote.
Writing to the comments, Hefty-Book6610 pointed out that Chris and Dianne are already a hotly-anticipated couple.
This isn’t the first time Strictly fans have expressed support for a Chris and Dianne partnership.
‘Actually want dianne buswell paired with chris mccausland…as it will be a real challenge for her to teach chris with his disability but also show that @bbcstrictly trust her to do a good job with him’, wrote rich70658824 on X.
Having already been assigned his partner, Chris will have to wait until Saturday’s launch show to reveal publicly who he’ll be dancing with.

Meanwhile, Dianne’s previous partners include Bobby Brazier, who reached the final last year, Tyler West, Max George, and Joe Sugg, with whom she is in a relationship and has been since 2018.
Training is already well underway for the first performance, though, with the comic taking to X two days ago to write: ‘Last day of freedom before #Strictly training starts proper.
‘Now that I realise how many calories I will probably burn this week, b******s to eating healthy, think I’ll go and find the biggest fattest burger I can.’
Speaking ahead of his Strictly experience after being the first celeb announced, Chris joked he had ‘never watched’ the show.
He told told ITV’s This Morning: ‘I must be the only person who’s going to be doing the show without ever seeing it, for obvious reasons, because what’s the point in listening to people dance?
‘So it’s a massive unknown, to be honest. I like a challenge, though. I like to put myself out of my comfort zone.
‘It might be the best three weeks of my life.
‘I’m not just being arrogant, I am blind.’

When asked about how he is feeling about taking part, he replied: ‘Apprehensive, massively apprehensive.’
He added: ‘This is literally the worst-kept secret there has ever been in British television. I think it’s been out there – it’s been exhausting keeping a secret everyone seems to know.’
The TV star lost his sight because of retinitis pigmentosa, a hereditary eye disease, which causes gradual degeneration of the retina.
Chris quipped: ‘If anybody out there is thinking, “How the hell is he going to do that?” then rest assured that I am thinking exactly the same thing.
‘I don’t dance, I haven’t danced, I can’t dance, I can’t see the dancing I will have to do. What can possibly go wrong? Ok, don’t answer that.’
Strictly Come Dancing 2024 begins on Saturday, September 14 at 7:20pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
