Michelle Keegan was in for a shock when her co-star unexpectedly flashed live on TV while right next to her during the National Television Awards 2024.

Last night’s glitzy ceremony saw some of Britain’s biggest stars descend on London’s O2 arena for a night filled with glam and adulation.

Strictly Come Dancing and Ant & Dec were among the top winners of the night, in addition to Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Bridgerton, The Traitors and more.

Michelle’s TV series Brassic was nominated in the comedy category, along with The Gentlemen, Mrs Brown’s Boys, Ghosts and Not Going Out.

In the end, Mrs Brown’s Boys clinched the win – but beforehand, the actress’ co-star Ryan Sampson decided to devise an unforgettable live TV moment that took everyone by surprise.

After Brassic was announced as one of the nominees and a scene was shown from the Sky comedy TV series, the camera zoomed in on Michelle and her co-stars, including Ryan, 38, who was sitting behind her.

Michelle, 37, leant back in her seat, smiling as she cosied up to Ryan… as he then slowly opened up his shirt to reveal his nipple while staring directly at the camera.

It took a moment for the Fool Me Once actress to realise what was happening – but when she did, she looked flustered as she burst into laughter and looked back at the actor to see what he was up to.

His antics were definitely in keeping with Brassic being up for best comedy, that’s for sure!

There’ve been five seasons of Brassic so far, in which Michelle stars as Erin Croft, and Ryan plays Tommo Schaftner.

A sixth season is on the way this month, which will see the gang return in a ‘wild adventure’ with even more ‘hilarity’.

Mark and Michelle looked incredibly loved-up as they posed on the red carpet together (Picture: James Veysey/Rex Features/Shutterstock)

Michelle attended last night’s NTAs with her husband Mark Wright, who she’s been married to since 2015.

Following the ceremony, Mark, 37, shared a photo on his Instagram Story of himself and his wife on the red carpet as he planted a kiss on her cheek, writing in the caption: ‘I’m proud of my girl.’

Later, he revealed that they’d decided to enjoy some noodles in bed with their dog and Netflix on the TV. That sounds like an utterly perfect end to the night, in our opinion!

The NTAs 2024 are available to watch on ITVX.
