A Married At First Sight UK star has made a shocking confession after meeting his wife for the first time.

New groom Caspar met his spouse Emma at the altar for the reality dating series, but it appeared he wasn’t that impressed.

Just a few hours after saying ‘I do’, the 34-year-old head gardener declared: ‘I fancy parts of her, but not all of her.’

He then compared his 31-year-old wife to his sister, saying they were both ‘strong-minded and strong-willed.’

But Caspar’s initial comments about his sister sparked some concern, as he was branded a ‘red flag’.

In a preview clip ahead of the new series airing tonight, Emma is seen meeting her new family for the first time at their wedding reception.

As Caspar’s sister gushed over Emma, saying she was ‘his height, blonde, curvy, beautiful face,’ the groom turned to his new sister-in-law, commenting on how he knew his wife and sister would get along from the start.

He then said: ‘Daisy’s the only person in my life who drives me around the f**king bend.

‘She’s the one person in my life who, if you want to see me angry, it can take her under 30 seconds to drive me up the wall.’

Caspar added that ‘very little’ else makes him angry, but his harsh comments left him labelled a ‘red flag’.

Emma’s sister then confessed her worries that the new couple could ‘clash’ because they were too ‘similar’.

‘It’s actually quite scary,’ she said.

As the camera returned to the party, Caspar told Emma’s sister: ‘Your sister is not a shrinking violet.’

He added to the camera: ‘Emma’s got personality traits that are very similar to my sister’s.’

‘I don’t know,’ he sighed.

Caspar isn’t the only one to be a little surprised at his partner’s appearance after meeting her for the first time, as a promo clip ahead of the new series saw one groom giving his bride the fright of her life with a risky prank.

Married At First Sight UK airs on E4 at 9pm tonight.
