Bewitched star Erin Murphy sent fans into meltdown as she celebrated the timeless show’s 60th anniversary – as well as her own milestone birthday.

The 60-year-old began her career in the spotlight at a very young age, and shot to stardom by playing little Tabitha Stephens, the daughter of Samantha Stephens and Darrin Stephens

The series first aired in 1964 and became a huge hit, running for eight seasons before coming off the air in 1972.

Taking to Twitter, the actress – who turned 60 in June – blew all our minds when she shared a throwback snap of her much younger self on the show to commemorate the anniversary.

She tweeted: ‘Want to feel old? Bewitched premiered 60 years ago today, September 17, 1964. AND little Tabitha (Me!) is 60 years old! #bewitched #tv #Trivia #tabitha.’

Followers couldn’t get over Erin’s post and flocked to share their shock in the comments section.

Jay replied: ‘Oh crikey I’m really old.’

Susan agreed: ‘Oh I’m definitely feeling old now! Loved watching Bewitched.’

Robert penned: ‘I’m shocked! Tabitha is 60! Where have the years gone?’

‘Love the show and Happy Birthday!! You were and are still just adorable! Great memories for all,’ EJ Jean said.

As Gray Wolf added: ‘You *definitely* don’t look *60*! You were a cute toddler, and you’re a beautiful woman now. Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories of my childhood!’

Bewitched followed the story of a witch named Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery) who fell in love with mortal Darrin (Dick York) and settled down in the suburbs, despite some supernatural interference from her family.

Looking back on her efforts as little Tabitha, Erin told CBS News last year: ‘It was a great show. I feel lucky and it was fun. Even though I was the only kid there for most of the show, all of the adults on the show were wonderful to me.

‘It was probably more fun that some shows because there would be animals there, and magic.

‘Liz Montgomery was like a mom to me and as an adult I’m very good friends with her children.’

In a chat with People in 1999, she admitted that she never really watched Bewitched when she was younger, because it would air after her bedtime.

‘I knew the magic wasn’t real,’ she said at the time. ‘People were on the rafters above us, holding fishing poles with wires.’

The series ended in 1972, after which she went on to star in Lassie, Identity, Craft Lab, Groomer Has It and To Tell The Truth.

In 1977, Lisa Hartman led the way on a spin-off show, Tabitha, focusing on an adult version of Erin’s character, with a handful of the original cast appearing in the short-lived program.
