Boy Meets World star Trina McGee, 55, has shared her heartbreak after suffering a miscarriage.

The American actress is best known for her portrayal of Angela Moore on the ABC-TV sitcom, a role she starred in from 1997 until 2000.

Trina first announced that she was expecting in June, when she was 12 weeks along.

Believing she ‘reversed menopause’ to conceive, the pregnancy marked her first child with husband Marcello Thedford and her fourth child in total.

Trina already has adult children, Ramia, 31, Langston, 29, and Ezra, 25 with her first husband, actor Courtland Davis, from whom she split in 2001 after 10 years of marriage.

Sadly, today, she confirmed during The Tamron Hall Show that she had miscarried.

‘I did lose the baby. It wasn’t expected; it was closer to the end of the first trimester,’ she shared.

‘We don’t have any real reasons why.’

Trina added: ‘I was still so grateful to have the experience of being able to conceive at this age and this time.’

Revealing her pregnancy to the world earlier this year, Trina hailed it as a ‘miracle’.

She told People that it felt ‘wonderful’ to have the chance to become a mother again in her fifties, insisting that her fourth pregnancy was ‘completely natural’.

Having taken a more holistic approach, she said it had still come as a ‘shock’ to her and Marcello, who is also is a dad to son Elijah from a previous relationship.

‘I just kept saying, “Is this really happening?” I still do that. “Is this really happening?” But it is,’ she told the outlet.

‘Then, I’ll get sick, or I’ll do something weird [and] it has to do with pregnancy. And I’m like, “This is really happening.”

‘And I’m remembering all the other times when I was pregnant, you know, 25 years ago, and I’m like, wow, this is it. This is really happening. It’s wonderful. It’s great.’

Trina went on to say that this pregnancy felt ‘much more intentional,’ having had all her other kids during a ‘thriving acting career’.

‘All of them have been on television in my stomach,’ she said, having been pregnant with her eldest daughter when she did a guest spot on A Different World.

Her second eldest son was in her stomach when she appeared on Martin and Sinbad, and she was pregnant with her third child while filming Boy Meets World.

Trina’s husband reacted ‘so lovingly’ to the news that their blended family was expanding, praising him for having been the ‘number one person who has supported [her]’.

‘We’ve put a lot of work into our marriage, so I’ve got a good one.’

At the time, Trina did not know the sex of her unborn baby and wanted to wait until they were born to find out, also holding off on choosing a name.

When she unveiled her surprise pregnancy in summer, one of Trina’s co-stars, Maitland Ward, said she believed it could be a publicity stunt.

Having claimed her baby’s conception was helped by her ‘reversing’ menopause with ‘natural remedies’, actress Maitland Ward, 47, who played Rachel McGuire in Boy Meets World, expressed concern.

She said that the lack of ‘information or verification’ about Trina’s pregnancy made her think it was a joke.

Speaking to TMZ, Maitland said: ‘My first thought, and I hate to say it, was, “Was this April Fool’s Day?” I hope that its not a publicity stunt or anything, I hope not.

‘I have not seen any verification or information… I would hope as it goes along she would show us her journey, because that’s a big deal that would help a lot of women, it would be super inspirational.’
