Unhinged Kick streamers went to Twitch’s meet-up convention and caused lots of trouble, including triggering a fistfight and licking someone’s nipple.

TwitchCon is held twice a year – once in Europe and once in the US – and is a big deal in the streaming space, as it brings both creators and fans together under one roof, but it can get pretty weird at times.

In 2022, for example, one Amouranth fan paid for her to step on them when they met at the convention, and streamer and former adult movie actor Adriana Chechik broke her back when she jumped into a foam pit.

This year’s drama was about streamers from rival streaming platform Kick, who are being called out for ‘harassing’ others at the event, including licking Twitch star Nmplol’s nipple.

Kick streamer DBR666 went to TwitchCon this weekend, streaming the event himself and meeting some of the top content creators in attendance.

One of them was Nmplol, who has over one million followers on Twitch, but things quickly got out of hand.

After some awkward chatting, DBR666 went to shake Nmplol’s hand but instead started licking his nipple through his shirt, which Nmplol did not appreciate.

DBR666 also found Twitch and Kick streamer xQc, who has over 12 million followers, and forced the creator to flee after shouting sexual comments at him, adding: ‘I want clout. Give me clout.’

Another Kick streamer, called Shoovy, ended up filing a police report against a content creator from the same platform, after he pushed him into a moving train, when he was leaving the event.

This all happened on DBR666’s stream too, who was next to them filming the argument.

On top of all this, there was a separate incident, away from the convention, where another Kick streamer, called DariusIRL, accused Twitch streamer Erobb of cheating on his long-term partner, after they had recently broken up.

The confrontation ended in a fistfight between the two, that was quickly stopped by their friends.

Twitch streamer Tectone addressed all the drama at this weekend’s event, saying:

‘[They’re] harassing innocent people for no f****** reason. It’s a joke. The fact that ExtraEmily had to run away from a Kick streamer, because she felt unsafe, is insane. Not once but twice.

‘Going up to Nick [Nmplol] sucking on his nipple […], provoking a dude into a fight, making fun of him over losing his wife and kids. It’s insane.’

ExtraEmily also met Kick streamer DBR666 at TwitchCon (YouTube)

Ever since Kick launched in early 2023 it has been criticised for its loose guidelines, which has seen some of its streamers do outright dangerous stunts, like racing through traffic.

The streaming platform has gotten a reputation for being edgy and appears to have attracted content creators of the same ilk.

Kick came out of the gate in 2023 by poaching some of Twitch’s biggest stars, including Amouranth and xQc, but Twitch’s CEO, Dan Clancy, questioned if the former is actually trying to grow the industry by doing so, saying:

‘You know, TikTok doesn’t try to get our streamers, they go and try to get new people streaming.

‘I think it’s a complete mistake to say, ‘Oh, the livestreaming market is fixed, I’m just going to try to get what the other guy has’.’
