Lounges.tv, the revolutionary creator-first streaming platform backed by entertainment titan Simon Cowell, is set to change the game for emerging talent with the launch of Showcase – and if you’re a budding artist you should be reading on.
This innovative series of digital competitions, fronted by celebrity ambassadors, kicks off with an exciting solo rap competition led by none other than British rap legend Professor Green.
Lounges.tv, available now through their app and online, gives aspiring creators across categories like music, comedy, fitness, gaming, and beauty the chance to shine like never before. Whatever their amazing talent, Showcase on Lounges.tv offers a level playing field for all.
The first competition to hit the platform is designed to uncover the UK’s next great solo rap star, with Professor Green at the helm. Known for his chart-topping hits and passionate advocacy for mental health, Professor Green is throwing his support behind aspiring rappers who are ready to take their talent to the next level. Contestants can submit original rap performances (2-4 minutes) to compete for some serious prizes.
Among the prizes:
A day in the studio with Professor Green himself
Music distribution from industry leader Amuse
A year-long marketing package from un:hurd
£1k stylish wardrobe essentials from Boohoo

And the best part? Entering the competition is completely free. Fans play a crucial role too, voting for their favourite performances by swiping right or giving a thumbs-up. The more love the artists get, the better their chances of being discovered.
‘I’m on the hunt for the next big UK rapper,’ Professor Green said as he backed the competition. ‘Not only will the winner spend time with me in the studio, but they’ll get the full package: distribution, marketing, and even some fresh Boohoo garms. The more fans get behind them, the more eyes will be on them, and trust me, I’ll be watching closely.’
Explaining why he created the platform, founder Scott Green said: ‘We created Lounges.tv to empower creators. Showcase is the perfect stage for emerging talent, and we’re thrilled to have Professor Green leading the charge with our first competition. Whether you’re into rap, gaming, comedy, or fitness, there’s a place for you on Lounges, and we’re committed to helping creators get the recognition they deserve.’
Craig Gardner, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, added: ‘We named it Showcase for a reason. It’s about giving creators a space to shine. On other platforms, it’s tough to stand out unless you already have a massive following, but we’ve built Lounges.tv to showcase hidden talent and make sure they get the support they deserve from the public.’
Professor Green’s competition launches on September 26 (that’s today) and will run for six weeks, followed in quick succession by more exciting chances for emerging talent in other music genres, comedy, fitness and more. All led by world-class celebrity ambassadors, including Simon Cowell himself.
