The Chase viewers have been left gobsmacked after contestants were asked the ‘dumbest question ever’.

The ITV quiz show hosted by Bradley Walsh first hit screens in 2009, in which contestants play against a professional quizzer, known as the ‘chaser’, who attempts to prevent them from winning a cash prize.

The questions in the final chase, where those left standing go head-to-head against the chaser, usually trip up efforts to take home a cash prize and can be notoriously difficult.

However, in the latest episode of the show, one question left those watching on at home shocked at how obvious the answer was.

The contestants playing were Kane from Uxbridge, Harry from Bangor, Kelly from Norwich and Chloe from Corby, with Harry and Kelly making it through to the final chase.

However, it was during this part of the show that Bradley also read out the answer to a question.

‘Whose Twitter (X) handle is @kourtneykardashian?’ he asked.

Looking somewhat perplexed at how obvious the answer was, Kelly responded: ‘Kourtney Kardashian.’

Viewers were also confused, with many sharing their thoughts on social media.

‘The Chase just had a question asking whose social media handle is Kourtney Kardashian like I genuinely think that is the dumbest question ever on that show,’ user gcsedenis posted on X.

‘That Kourtney Kardashian question was a tough one,’ _Ce_Ce__ joked.

Kelly and John went on to score 17 points in the final chase, however the failed to take home the £5,000 prize after they were caught by The Beast Mark Labbett with 23 seconds remaining.

A few years ago, another Kardashian related question also left viewers astonished.

In a 2020 The Chase Celebrity Special, EastEnders star Perry Fenwick, Strictly Come Dancing star Ore Oduba, daytime TV legend Richard Madeley and comedienne Jenny Éclair were faced with five pushback questions in the final chase.

One was: ‘Which Kardashian sister is the oldest?.’

Perry, Ore and Richard incorrectly answered ‘Kim’ instead of ‘Kourtney’.

After the group were caught and Bradley was wrapping up the show, he delivered a savage comment.

Speaking to camera, Bradley said that if you were able to correctly guess which Kardashian sister was the oldest, ‘you need to get a life’, much to the surprise of the celebrity contestants.

The Chase is streaming on ITVX.
