Britney Spears has revealed an accident with her bedroom fireplace singed off her eyebrows and eyelashes.
Taking to Instagram to recall the incident from earlier this year, the star admitted that it was a ‘really, really dangerous’ situation.
‘I was in my room and I turned the fire on and all of a sudden it blew up in my face,’ the 42-year-old chart-topper told her followers in a new video posted on Monday night.
She also admitted that, as it has happened before, she usually asks her security team to handle lighting the fire.
Talking in her self-described British accent, the Toxic star laughed as she recalled that the blaze ‘took all of my eyelashes off’ as well as her eyebrows.
She also pointed to her ‘baby bangs’ at the top of her head, claiming the shorter hairs were from the incident six months ago too.

As well as saying she lost her eyebrows, the star worried over possible burn injuries as well (Picture: Instagram/@britneyspears)
Although it’s the first she’s revealing of the incident, the singer claims she was convinced she might have done herself serious injury with burns as well.
‘The person I was with would just not wake up and I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room cos all my face was like on fire. I was like, “Wait, third-degree, second-degree burns? What can happen?”,’ Britney revealed of the 3am incident.
She also said that ‘it hurt to even touch my phone’ or put ice on her face, which she did, with the discomfort lasting ‘six or seven hours’.
The pop icon said that she took three painkillers – which is a ‘really, really big deal for her’ – and was eventually able to get to sleep though.

It’s not Britney’s first brush with flames though, as back in 2020 she accidentally started a fire with some candles in her home gym.
She claimed at the time that the accident left her with just two pieces of gym equipment, but luckily the alarm went off and ‘nobody got hurt’.
