‘Run to Poundland’ fans raving over ‘snuggly’ hoodie & jogger sets to keep you warm as the temperatures begin to drop
THE AUTUMN season is well and truly here which means it’s time to ditch the T-shirt and shorts for cosy loungewear sets to stay toasty.
Today marks the day that millions of cash-strapped Brits will be hit by a staggering 10% increase in energy bills, with the average dual-fuel bill paid by a direct debit customer hiked from £1,568 to £1,717.

However, if you’re not keen to fork out a fortune to keep cosy, Poundland shoppers have spotted the ultimate bargain that’s both ”snuggly” – and stylish.
One customer of the popular discount retailer, Leanne Jade, took to Facebook to inform fellow fashion fans about the fabulous find – and we can see why it’s become such a hit.
According to the money-smart brunette beauty, Poundland is now stocking hoodie and jogger sets for an affordable price that won’t break the bank.
All chuffed with the gorgeous two-piece, Leanne wrote in the post: ”Absolutely in love with these hoodie and jogger sets.
”So silky soft, lovely quality and fit snuggly,” she told other members of the Poundland Appreciation Society on the platform.
Sharing mirror selfies of herself modelling the light khaki loungewear staple, the shopper added the garments were an ”absolute bargain”, setting her back £8 each.
The gorgeous hoodie, which would also look incredible paired with jeans for running errands, features front pockets – ideal for keeping your fingers warm – as well as well as a practical drawstring.
The matching bottoms, meanwhile, boast a slim fit and a tighter leg design around the ankles.
Raving about the £16 purchase, the cash-savvy fashionista added that she’d also snapped the same set in mink – and there are plenty of other colours to pick from.
”Don’t walk but run to Poundland,” she advised others to not sleep on the bargain that’s ”cheaper than Primark”.
According to Leanne, the sets are velour and also true to size – it really doesn’t get much better than this.
Since being uploaded to the page – which is home to almost 110k members – the post has received a lot of attention, with other Poundland fans racing to comments.
And it seems like it’s best to race to the local Poundland soon, if you don’t want to miss out on the two-piece, as one confessed they too had bought numerous sets.
An ex employee on Poundland’s prices
Holly Laing, 22, from Northampton, has revealed she used to work in Poundland and often heard customers say the same annoying thing.
Holly claimed she worked for Poundland in 2015 for three months as a Christmas temp.
She said that customers would get annoyed when products cost more than £1 individually.
In a comical video, Holly acted out a scenario that often occurred on her shift at the bargain store, where customers were always baffled and irritated that items could cost over £1.
Holly uploaded her video with the caption “I heard this a lot” as she said: “POV: Not everything’s £1 in Poundland”.
Holly explained that customers would often say to her: “But this is the pound shop, is it not?”
“That’s very misleading, I’ll only pay for that if it’s a pound.”
“Disgusting, what a rip off.”
”Loved them so much I brought four,” the super fan of the high street retailer chuckled.
Another chimed in: ”This is what I got last week.”
Someone else was keen to get their hands on the purse-friendly loungewear staple after shedding pounds.
”Oh that’s a good buy! I lost a lot of weight and need new warm clothes for cheap.”
”I’ve seen these the khaki one is gorgeous,” a style lover told others.
