Paddington 3’s latest trailer has shared a precious look at baby Paddington Bear – and he’s here to soothe away all of your worries.

Ahead of the highly anticipated movie’s release, officially titled Paddington in Peru, fans have been treated to a further tease of what’s in store for everyone’s favourite polite bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw).

Alongside more hijinks in his homeland, there’s also a glimpse into his childhood with Aunt Lucy, with fans dubbing the tiny version of the fictional Paddington ‘absolutely adorable’, ‘insanely cute’ and ‘just darling’.

Flashing back to their time in the Peruvian Amazonia together, where Paddington has returned to visit his much-loved relative, we see him as a little cub wearing a red flower version of his famous hat.

He then falls out of a tree in a bid to reach an orange, with Aunt Lucy asking, ‘Wherever did you come from?’ as he scarfs down a marmalade sandwich while in her care.

It’s then even sweeter as he lets out a little cub-sized growl while standing on a chair.

‘Yes I may have just shed a tear at how cute baby Paddington is,’ admitted Gabrielle after the trailer was released on Thursday.

‘Oh my god…. time to make baby Paddington my entire identity,’ posted Charlotte, while @sordijinger joked: ‘Goodbye Moo Deng, hello baby Paddington.’

‘I will die for baby Paddington,’ insisted a very committed Yvette, who was just one of many sharing similar thoughts, while Sunny asked: ‘Who else up thinking about baby Paddington?’

The last Paddington film debuted to rave reviews in 2017, so fans have been waiting several years – and a slightly uncertain development period – to go another adventure with him.

This time around, Paddington heads home with the Brown Family in tow, and a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and up to the mountain peaks of Peru.

Returning for the film are Hugh Bonneville and Dame Julie Walters, with franchise newcomers Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas and Emily Mortimer.

Mortimer replaces former Mary Brown actress Sally Hawkins, which caused some confusion and upset when the first trailer dropped in June.

When Hawkins announced her exit from the role in 2023, she praised Mortimer – known for her work in Pink Panther, The Newsroom and Match Point – as ‘truly wonderful’ and ‘extraordinarily special’.

‘She will embody the essence of Mary Brown and yet make it utterly her own,’ Hawkins added.

Paddington in Peru releases in UK cinemas on November 8.
