A make-up artist who worked for legendary country singer Garth Brooks and his wife, singer Trisha Yearwood, has alleged that Brooks brutally sexually assaulted her.

The harrowing lawsuit was filed under the name of Jane Roe in Los Angeles today and graphically describes instances of rape, battery, and other extremely distressing acts that took place in 2019.

Roe was first hired to do hair and makeup Trisha Yearwood, 60, in 1999, but began also providing these services for Brooks, 62, in 2017.

The six-claim complaint comes just after Brooks, using the name John Doe, went to federal court in Mississippi in September to try to stop a ‘fabricated lawsuit’ from doing ‘substantial, irreparable damage.’

In one instance detailed in the make-up artist’s suit, she claims Brooks hired her to come to a show with him but booked only one hotel room for both of them. He then refused to provide another when asked.

‘Usually there were others on Brooks’ private jet but this time, Ms. Roe and Brooks were the only two passengers,’ the complaint reads.

‘Once in Los Angeles at the hotel, Ms. Roe could not believe that Brooks had booked a hotel suite with one bedroom and she did not have a separate room,’ it continues.

He then assaulted her in the doorway in a state of undress, dragged her into the room, and dangled her upside down by her ankles before raping her.

According to Deadline, the suit reads, in part: ‘This side of Brooks believes he is entitled to sexual gratification when he wants it, and using a female employee to get it, is fair game.’

The severity of the allegations are so extreme, some of the incidents are too sordid ‘to mention here,’ Deadline reports.

In addition to assault and battery, the suit alleges the country star exposed himself to Roe, persistently told her about his sexual fantasies, stripped off his clothing in front of her, and sent her sexually explicit text messages.

The complaint also alleges that Brooks persistently spoke to Roe about having a threesome with him and his wife, and Roe believes Yearwood overheard comments of this nature at least once.

Jane Roe’s filing goes on to say: ‘Brooks is desperate to prevent his millions of fans from learning about the horrific things he has said and done to a junior female employee who did nothing to deserve such treatment.

‘But our legal system is not in place to allow wealthy wrongdoers the ability to run work-arounds on sexual assault victims who attempt to hold perpetrators accountable.’

Brooks’ previous lawsuit completely denies the allegations, saying: ‘Defendant is well aware, however, of the substantial, irreparable damage such false allegations would do to Plaintiff’s well-earned reputation as a decent and caring person, along with the unavoidable damage to his family and the irreparable damage to his career and livelihood that would result if she made good on her threat to “publicly file” her fabricated lawsuit.’

Brooks is one of the most successful musicians of all time and the only artist in music history to have released nine albums that were certified Diamond.

Metro has contacted Brooks’ representatives for comment.
