‘Looks like a 90s taxi driver’ fashionistas convinced they found autumn’s ‘It’ jacket in Primark but not everyone agrees

FASHIONISTAS are convinced they’ve found this autumn’s It jacket in Primark – but it’s not a hit with everyone.

The bargain coat is made from faux leather and has a “vintage vibe” that some shoppers say is reminiscent of their dad’s and grandad’s clothes in the Nineties.

PrimarkIt will set you back £38 in Primark… but not everyone’s a fan[/caption]

Fashion bosses Sarah Ellis and Philippa Ross at We Are Twin Set took to Instagram to showcase the “lightweight” coat.

They predicted it will be “Primark’s next viral jacket” in a try-on video.

“It feels so expensive,” Sarah reviewed.

“It’s really lightweight and comfy.

“I like that it’s quite long.”

However, the comments section of their video was a sea of mixed reviews.

While some shoppers agreed that the design was “stunning” and “a steal for that price”, others had less than favourable opinions.

“This is the style of taxi drivers in the Nineties,” one critic wrote.

“It looks like my dads jacket from the Nineties,” a second quipped.

“My grandad had a similar one… it’s a no from me,” a third penned.

A fourth even suggested that “Kevin Webster from Corrie” rocks the style better than Sarah and Phillippa.

The jacket in question is Primark’s Rita Ora Faux Leather Distressed Bomber Jacket.

Priced at £38, it is described as “an oversized bomber jacket with a zip front, point collar and distressed design”.

“Don’t let your outerwear let you down,” Primark bosses said.
