A second celebrity has been eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2024, after an incredible movie week.

The beloved BBC programme’s 20th anniversary series is well and truly underway, with the second results show of this year leaving another celebrity and their pro partner out of the competition.

Saturday’s show saw Dr Punam Krishan make history with a Bollywood dance on Strictly for the first time, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri topping the leaderboard with a seriously impressive 34 points, Sarah Hadland paying tribute to Dame Maggie Smith with a Harry Potter-themed performance, and Chris McCausland continuing to blow viewers away.

Meanwhile, DIY SOS star Nick Knowles was forced to miss this week in the competition, due to an injury.

Last weekend, Tom Dean and Nadiya Bychkova became the first pair to be eliminated from the series, and now, a second couple has left.

Who left Strictly Come Dancing this week?

Toyah Willcox and Neil Jones left the competition following a dance off against Paul Merson and Karen Hauer, with both couples performing their movie week dances again.

Toyah, 66, and Neil performed their Samba to Poor Unfortunate Souls from Little Mermaid.

Paul, 56, and his dance partner Karen then performed their Cha Cha to The Magnificent Seven from The Magnificent Seven.

After both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts, with Craig Revel HorwoodMotsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and  head judge Shirley Ballas all choosing to save Paul and Karen.

When asked by host Tess Daly about their time on the show, Toyah said: ‘It’s been the best two months of my life, it has been fantastic. I have enjoyed every second. And you (Neil) have been phenomenal, thank you so much.’

Neil added: ‘She has made me laugh so much, I have never seen someone work so hard – I’m the one asking for breaks every now and then! She just kept going, she wanted to learn so much.

‘If you saw her in the hallway she’s been practicing. Everyone’s been telling me have you seen Toyah practicing, she’s brilliant and she’s what Strictly is all about, and I’ve loved every moment.’

Speaking about Neil, Toyah also said: ‘It was immediate, it had to be Neil. I felt so comfortable and safe. You’re a great teacher, you’re a great friend as well. You’ve just given me a new zest for life, that’s the most valuable thing I’ve come away with.’

Toyah and Neil had been in the dance off last week, against Tom and Nadiya, but were saved by the judges.

Following the first results show, Neil shared a few pictures of his Jive routine with Toyah on Instagram, writing in his caption: ‘Ladies and Gentlemen when you ask me how my Saturday night went😜🤟🏻🪩

‘I just want to say it’s week 2 @toyahofficial is not a dancer but every day she’s improving, each day I tell Toyah, it might not be perfect but you are improving and at the same time you are not losing who you really are and that is what @bbcstrictly is all about.

‘You bring so much joy in our lives and I feel lucky that I have the opportunity to teach and guide you so we can both entertain 🧡.’

13 remaining couples will return to the dancefloor next week hoping to put themselves one step closer to the glitterball trophy.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.20pm on BBC One and iPlayer, with the results show on Sunday at 7.20pm.
