The Simpsons just brought back a character after almost 30 years which seems to have gone under the radar.
After shocking fans with the ‘season finale’ midway through its current series, The Simpsons just threw another curveball with the return of a character long forgotten by fans.
The Yellow Lotus aired on Sunday night in the US, bringing back Kelsey Grammar as Sideshow Bob, who is not worth a fortune after inventing a rake with a collapsible handle to ‘avoid head bonks’.
During the episode, the Simpson family took a rare holiday to luxury resort Drooping Dandelions to cash in on their 10-year timeshare.
The vacay soon turns into a nightmare though when Homer brushes up against a dead body while swimming in the sea.
Marge soon gets suspects this isn’t the resort they’ve invested in and realises everyone else in the resort is miserable.

Throw in the addition of Sideshow Bob and clearly something’s afoot with their dream holiday.
It turns out that Bob wasn’t the only Simpsons legend to return but the entire trip had been a scam orchestrated by dodgy salesman… Nick Callahan.
‘Who?’ you ask.

Nick last appeared in the 1997 The Simpsons episode Realty Bites (Picture: Fox)
Nick first appeared in The Simpsons in the season nine episode Realty Bites when Marge joined the Red Blazer Realty Bites, working alongside Gil Gunderson, Cookie Kwan, and Nick.
In the latest episode, a flashback revealed Marge had met Nick before working with him though when he duped her into buying the timeshare.
The Simpsons writer was asked by a fan whose bright idea it was to bring Nick back after a 27-year hiatus. He simply responded: ‘Loni’, referring to producer Loni Steele Sosthand.
Delighted fans called the surprise cameo ‘unbelievable’ but it appears Nick’s comeback was a one-off.
You’ll have to watch the episode to find out why…
The Simpsons is available to stream on Disney Plus in the UK.
