Everyone on the internet is thanking Beyoncé – here’s why…

Beyoncé is to thank for seemingly everything at the moment with praise for the Renaissance singer pouring out from every part of the internet.

And while there is certainly a lot to thank the music icon for when it comes to the industry, some are wondering why on earth are brands like Ryanair thanking her?

Essentially, it all boils down to a conspiracy theory that is clearly complete nonsense, but quite a fun little trend that people are loving at the moment.

It began with resurfaced old videos of Britney Spears, Lizzo, Lady Gaga and Adele, all using their time on stage while accepting an award to thank none other than Beyonce.

While the artists were clearly just paying homage to a fellow industry success who inspired them, internet pranksters began a bizarre rumour that suggested that if artists didn’t thank Beyonce in their speech – she’d have them killed.

Yep, according to this trend, Beyoncé manages to organise completely secret kill hits on artists she deems a threat in the industry.

Of course, there are some fans who have more logical explanations as to why singers might want to thank Beyoncé in a speech.

‘Or maybe the logical explanation is that these celebs know they’ll get hate for winning over Beyoncé, so they thank her in their speeches to try to avoid that… and/or they’re friends with her and are simply thanking her. like people need to be so fr.’ said Greatestselena on X.

But of course, people dismissed this theory and stuck with one that was a little more silly and entertaining.

Some have even theorised that Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift’s VMAs speech to praise Beyonce in order to save Taylor’s life – who was an up-and-coming singer at the time and beat Beyonce for best music video.

Some have even said that Alison Hammond let Beyoncé win at Connect 4 so that she wouldn’t be on the hit list.

Its safe to say the conspiracy theory has gone a little bit bananas, but the outcome has been rather sweet as people have used this trend to thank Beyoncé for every little thing.

Avoided running into an ex on the street? Thanks, Beyoncé! Completed an assignment or got a promotion- gotta thank Queen Bey!

Even Ryanair has taken to social media to jump on the trend.

The airline was thanked by Let_it__burn on X who said: ‘Two windows?! wow thanks @Ryanair i love you.’

‘We want to thank Beyonce,’ replied Ryanair, directing the love straight back to the Crazy in Love singer.

Although the trend is clearly utterly nonsense, people are still having quite a lot of fun with it on the internet – so it may not be going anywhere just yet.

Beyonce of course has not commented on this trend, but she has been recently in the news after Piers Morgan was forced to apologise to Jay-Z and Beyoncé after Jaguar Wright made a ‘worse than Diddy’ remark on his show.

The talk show host subsequently edited the show and released a sincere apology to the couple for the comments.
