The Chase star Paul Sinha couldn’t resist making an X-rated dig at his ITV co-stars at the Attitude Awards.

Paul is better known as The Sinnerman on the gameshow, while the other Chasers are given nicknames like The Dark Destroyer and The Beast.

The 54-year-old admitted his moniker was ‘s***’ but said he had ‘dodged a bullet’ as he was the only Chaser ‘not named after a sex toy.’

As he hosted the event earlier this week at London’s Roundhouse, Paul said according to The Sun: ‘A special welcome to those of you who are in full-time employment, because you won’t have a clue who I am. So allow me to introduce myself. Yes, my name is Paul Sinha but I’m better known as The Sinnerman.

‘It’s a s**t nickname. It means nothing. I don’t mind, I feel I’ve dodged a bullet given the names of the other Chasers — The Governess, The Vixen, The Menace, The Beast and The Dark Destroyer.

‘I’m the only Chaser who’s not named after a sex toy. I have to tell you that hours of research went into that joke.’

It appears the Chasers have no say over their nickname with Darragh Ennis previously telling Metro he only found out during the filming of his first episode.

‘I had no choice but to smile,’ he recalled at The National Television Awards.

Darragh continued: ‘I was happy with it, but honestly, I would have worn a chicken suit to be in that seat. They could have called me whatever. I just wanted to get on the telly.’

Last month, viewers of The Chase were left gobsmacked over the ‘dumbest question ever’ in the 15 years of the show.

Presenter Bradley Walsh asked: ‘Whose Twitter (X) handle is @kourtneykardashian?’

Looking somewhat perplexed at how obvious the answer was, the contestant Kelly responded: ‘Kourtney Kardashian.’

Viewers were also confused, with many sharing their thoughts on social media.

‘The Chase just had a question asking whose social media handle is Kourtney Kardashian like I genuinely think that is the dumbest question ever on that show,’ user gcsedenis posted on X.

‘That Kourtney Kardashian question was a tough one,’ _Ce_Ce__ joked.

Along with Darragh and Paul, the current line-up of Chasers is Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty and Jenny Ryan.

The Chase began airing on ITV in 2009 and has produced 17 seasons, as well as celebrity charity spin-offs.

The quiz show sees contestants play against a professional quizzer – the Chaser- who attempts to prevent them from winning a cash prize.

The Chase is available to stream on ITVX.
