Andrew Garfield and Dr Kate Tomas – who describes herself as a ‘philosopher and spiritual mentor’ – have split.

The Amazing Spider-Man star, 41, and the ‘professional witch’ have been linked since March when they were pictured on a double date with singer Phoebe Bridgers and comedian Bo Burnham in Malibu, California.

But now Kate has confirmed the romance ended ‘months ago’.

Kate made the revelation on Instagram after a follower asked if she was still dating the actor.

The fan wrote: ‘[Are you] still dating Andrew Garfield? … Tell him I’m a fan of him, please.’

She then replied: ‘We broke up months ago but I’m sure he will be happy to know that he is loved.’

At first fans drew a blank at the mystery woman’s identity, but they were quick to work out she was big on #WitchTok and has carved out a career in offering tarot readings, spiritual mentorship, and consulting services for those in the entertainment industry.

Kate’s biography describes her as ‘one of the most highly educated and sought after magickal practitioners in the world’, as she has several advanced degrees in philosophy and theology.

She charges £1,500 for 45-minute readings which includes ‘two full days on WhatsApp to unpack it’ with her.

After that, she asks for a six-month minimum commitment, costing £4,000 per month.

Defending the cost, Kate previously said: ‘Magic takes time. It can’t happen overnight’, adding that her readings are ‘very labour-intensive’, hence why she only does two or three each month.

She added: ‘I’m a Taurean – I like luxury. I always have.’

During her sessions, Kate establishes a connection between her spirit guides and clients, allowing her to ‘download the information’ needed for customers to lead their ‘best life’.

As well as tarot readings, Kate offers a ‘seduction masterclass’, which she clarifies ‘is not about magic spells or manipulation’. She also makes it clear that she ‘did not use magic to seduce [her] partner’.

She began her spiritual journey offering tarot card readings in a tiny room above a crystal shop in Glastonbury at the age of 19, having had ‘powerful intuitive abilities’ from an early age.

Kate previously opened up about her own achievements being overlooked because of who she was dating.

She told The Sunday Times: ‘It’s frustrating that no matter how accomplished or impactful a woman is, it’s always going to be more interesting if they are in a relationship with a man. I don’t want to sit under anybody’s shadow.’

Kate – who has previously been married four times – went on to reveal she hated the ‘misogynistic nature of that interest [in my relationship] – criticism of how a woman looks, of what [she] does for work’.

According to the publication, Kate also shared her experience of being in the public eye in an episode of her own podcast, admitting she wasn’t prepared for all the hate from online trolls.

She explained: ‘Nothing could have prepared me for having literally thousands of women telling me I’m ugly, I’m unattractive, I’m less than in every conceivable way.’

Kate added that she was using techniques to ‘reclaim the power that has been taken,’ but said: ‘The most powerful form of psychic protection is knowing who you are and being ok with that.’

Andrew has previously been linked to stars including model Alyssa Miller from 2021 to 2022 and his The Amazing Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone.

He hasn’t publicly talked about their relationship, having previously said in an interview with Bustle: ‘I’m not in the public eye to a great degree because I’ve designed it that way for myself.

‘For my work, I’m fine with it, but otherwise, I fight for my right for a private, personal life. My right to be ordinary. My right to be a mess. My right to be sorrowful. My right to lose, to get it wrong, to be stupid, to be a person.’
