Lorraine Kelly brought her newborn granddaughter onto her show this morning, 30 years after she did the same with her daughter.

It was a full-circle moment for the beloved presenter, and it was clear that she was more than a little smitten with the new baby.

The show aired a clip of the moment Lorraine first brought newborn Rosie onto the show in 1994 before her granddaughter, Billie, made an appearance.

Viewers may have noticed there was one consistency in both moments: Dr. Hilary Jones MBE was there to coo over the little one in 1994 and 2024.

The TV medical professional looked almost unrecognisable in the clip from the 90s, sporting a thick head of dark hair and a Hollywood smile.

The doctor has been a fixture on GMTV since 1993, notably becoming a pillar of strength for the nation during the COVID-19 pandemic when he appeared on Good Morning Britain every morning to commentate on the latest news surrounding the virus.

Earlier this summer viewers were shocked to learn that Dr. Hilary was celebrating his 70th birthday and has been practicing medicine on-air for thirty years.

The beloved doctor was a comforting presence for new-mum Rosie on Lorraine.

Rosie told her mother and Dr. Hilary on the show this mornin,: ‘She’s been a dream baby, she had a little bit of sleep.’

Rosie went on to explain that her fiancé Steve White had been very ‘hands-on’ with the newborn.

Dr. Hilary nodded with understanding as Rosie explained that though she’s now feeling better, she suffered from postpartum anxiety after giving birth.

‘I feel like after the first six weeks hit, the fog has gone off and I can enjoy it a bit more,’ she said.

Rosie gave birth to Billie at the end of August, with her mother joining her at her home for several days to help out.

‘Baby Billie Kelly Smith-White is here, 29-08-2024. It feels like she’s been here the whole time and we’re not quite sure what the point of anything was before,’ she posted on Instagram.

She continued: ‘I’d heard how amazing midwives are but they are genuinely walking angels – she’s been welcomed into the world with so much love already.’

Lorraine returned to her show on September 1 and told her audience: ‘I don’t know why I’m getting all of the congratulations, but I’ll take it,’ she laughed, ‘she is beautiful. I know I’m biased but she’s beautiful.’
