Kyle Walker’s wife, Annie Kilner, has filed for divorce in the wake of his much-publicised affair with Lauryn Goodman.

It’s been a tumultuous period for the Manchester City captain, who has been married to his teenage sweetheart Annie, 32, since 2022 following a 12-year relationship. The pair share four children.

Kyle, 34, first fathered a child with Lauryn during a break in his relationship with Annie in 2020, but it came to light in January of last year that he also fathered a second child with Goodman in 2022 while with Kilner.

This led to Annie ejecting him from their £3.5m mansion in Cheshire and a media frenzy surrounding the star football player.

It seems she’s finally had enough and is ready to call it quits with the defender for good.

‘Kyle was stunned when he got the papers,’ a source told The Sun.

The insider added: ‘He’s spoken to Annie about them and they are discussing the next steps. This doesn’t necessarily mean they will divorce. She wants Kyle to know she’s not messing about. But if this is a bluff, it may well back-fire.’

Annie discovered she was pregnant with the couple’s fourth child in January of this year. At the time, a source told Metro.co.uk that the pair no longer have a romantic relationship but ‘they are very much united in this for the sake of their children.’

Speaking to The Sun in January 2024, the former Tottenham Hotspur footballer apologised for his affairs: ‘What I’ve done is horrible and I take full responsibility.

‘I made idiot choices and idiot decisions. I can’t begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through. I’ve tried to ask her but there’s pain and hurt.

‘The man that’s meant to love, care and be there for her, did this.

He added: ‘My actions have caused a lot of pain to a lot of people. I’m sorry because, as a family, this isn’t meant to happen.’

The news of the divorce follows Lauryn’s extensive list of requests for Kyle becoming public in August of this year.

The list included everything from a lavish £2.4m mansion in Sussex to a £33,000 air conditioning unit to cope with what she described as ‘unbearable’ summer heat.

She also requested a series of smaller items, including an iron, with the stipulation: ‘I do have a steamer but it leaks.’

The public was made privy to the wild details and huge sums of money involved in the high-profile case when Kyle and Lauryn went to court after Lauryn filed a ‘financial remedies application’ seeking to increase the sum £110k to £177k per year for child maintenance.

Her requests included £500 per month to maintain a hot tub, which she claimed was exclusively for the children’s use.

Other requests, according to The Sun, included: A gardener at a cost of £28 per hour because ‘The lawn mower is heavy,’ £171.81 per month for two mobile phones, an iron (‘I do have a steamer but it leaks’), £800 water filters, £2,000+ for garden furniture, £6,250 wardrobes, and £2,149 for outdoor lighting.

The court heard that Kyle was ordered to purchase Lauryn a £1.85m home within a 60-mile radius of a Sussex town to ensure she was away from Annie and his other children.

Additionally, Kyle was mandated to provide £8k per month in child support.

Lauryn’s additional demands included a £33k air conditioning system due to the ‘unbearable’ heat in the mansion during summer.

She also claimed the patio was ‘unsafe’ and requested a £31k astroturf for her one-year-old daughter Kinara, who she suggested might one day become a professional footballer.
