Phillip Schofield has returned to social media for the first time since annoucing the death of his mother Pat.
Following her passing, the former This Morning presenter, 62, has vowed to keep up family traditions.
The star decided to visit the seafront and eat a hearty takeaway, and suggested to his followers that this was something he would do with his mother.
‘Keeping up the family traditions. Flounders fish and chips on the headland,’ he wrote.
The image showed a box filled with his dinner, which was being consumed inside a vehicle. To eat the food, Schofield parked up near the beach, meaning he had a beautiful vantage point.
On Instagram stories, he shared a further insight into the location as the tide was coming in next to the rocky hills.

Schofield announced the death of Pat on October 14, and shared how he was with her in the final moments.
‘Today, at 3pm and after a heartbreaking weekend, my magnificent mum decided it was time to go to her beloved Brian,’ he wrote. Pat’s late husband and Schofield’s dad Brian died in May 2008 at 72 from a long-standing heart condition.
‘Over three days, we held her, loved her, hugged her, and said everything that needed to be said.

‘She was calm, peaceful, beautiful and dignified.
‘I will forever be proud and privileged that she was my mum.
‘Our eternal thanks to the paramedics, Treliske A&E and Critical Care team who have been, in the past and this weekend, my mum’s and our angels. Your love and care has been our saviour.
‘I love you mum, forever,’ he concluded.

Following his exit from ITV last year, Schofield stayed with his mother at her Cornwall home as he kept a low profile and avoided media attention.
Pat’s death comes after her hospitalisation last year when she fell seriously ill. Schofield cared for his mother and held a vigil by her bedside.
She was also mother to his younger brother, Timothy, 54, who is currently spending 12 years in prison for sexually abusing a teenage boy.
Schofield resigned from This Morning following weeks of speculation surrounding his fractured friendship with Holly Willoughby. Six days later he left ITV completely with immediate effect after admitting to an affair with a much younger colleague.
Last month, he returned to TV in Channel 5’s Cast Away. For the three-part docuseries, he was completely alone for 10 days on a small island off the coast of Madagascar.
It was billed as ‘an authentic and intense physical and mental challenge.’ The comeback proved to be quite divisive.
