Glastonbury has some stiff competition this year as this European music festival might have the best line-up of the 2025 festival season.

Primavera Sound Barcelona is returning this summer with the three biggest pop stars in the world right now signed on as headliners: Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter.

The 23rd edition of the festival, which will be held at Parc del Fòrum from June 4-8 in Barcelona, will also see performances from LCD Soundsystem, FKA Twigs, HAIM, Jamie xx, Fontaines D.C., Beach House, IDLES, Clairo, Turnstile and more.

The main festival will take place from the 5th to the 7th of June, with a free opening day on June 4 and a brunch closing party on June 8.

General sale tickets are set to go on sale on the 29th of October at 10:00 AM.

The only festival in the world to be co-signed by the United Nations, Primavera Sound is ‘committed to sustainability’ and will even feature a stage powered entirely by renewable energy.

Also committed to gender equity, Primavera’s full 148 artist line-up features an equal split of genders, also including acts like TV On The Radio, Sturgill Simpson, ANOHNI and the Johnsons, Floating Points, Stereolab, Spiritualized and Parcels and more.

Charli XCX is coming off the global success of her album brat., which defined the summer of 2024.

She debuted the song Everything is Romantic from the album at the festival last year, kicking off brat summer with a bang.

Fans are hopeful that she may once again premiere new work at this year’s show – or maybe even appear alongside one or both of the other pop princesses headlining, Sabrina Carpenter or Chappell Roan.

Both artists are also enjoying global success and gaining hordes of fans at staggering speeds.

Carpenter first skyrocketed to icon status with her single Espresso, which dropped in April of 2024 and went on to top the Billboard Global 200 and hit number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

This was quickly followed by another chart-topper – Please Please Please – making her the first female artist to hold the number one and two positions on the UK singles chart for three weeks in a row.

A full-length album called Short n’ Sweet soon followed and also debuted atop the Billboard 200.

Chappell Roan’s debut album – The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess – was more of a sleeper hit, dropping in 2023 but climbing charts worldwide in mid-2024, eventually peaking at number one in Ireland, New Zealand, and the UK, and within the top five on the U.S. Billboard 200.

All three of the pop stars are currently drawing some of the biggest crowds in the world. There’s plenty of crossover in their fanbases, making Primavera Sounds the place to be this summer for pop music lovers.
