Two generations of Big Brother legends met as former star and television personality Narinder Kaur ran into Alex Sibley during a chance meeting.
Narinder, 51, made history as the first British Indian woman to appear on Big Brother in the UK.
During her time on the show’s second season – which aired in 2001 – Narinder appeared alongside its eventual winner, Brian Dowling, ultimately being evicted after 29 days.
Alex Sibley, meanwhile, appeared on the show’s third season, which aired on Channel 4 the following year. The 24-year-old model beat out future national treasure Alison Hammond and controversial reality TV icon Jade Goody to come in third place – finishing behind eventual winner Kate Lawler.
However, he’s been a reclusive figure in recent years, with his career hitting the skids following a tragic accident two years after his leaving the Big Brother house.
The two reality TV stars met during a chance encounter while Narinder attended a counter-protest against Tommy Robinson and his far right cronies in London.

‘Anyone recognise this legend?’ she asked, posting a picture of them both together on her X account.
‘He was not at protest, we literally bumped into one another as passing through,’ she added.
The pair were all smiles as, in the background, her fellow protesters held up placards against far right activist Tommy Robinson – real name Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon.

‘Omg two legends in one picture,’ wrote the user stevehotspurs in the comments below.
‘How is Alex these days? Hope he’s good,’ asked NewTLSR2023 – to which Narinder confirmed that ‘he’s doing well.’
‘Yessss!!! Doesn’t he look as handsome as ever,’ she replied, when HomoSocialist told her that they were both looking good.
‘Another one of my fave housemates from back in the day,’ said AdeshaF.

In the years since her time on Big Brother has appeared on Good Morning Britain, BBC Sunday Morning Live, and Jeremy Vine on Channel 5, often speaking out about social and political issues in the UK.
Last year, she courted controversy after speaking out against the Royal Family and ‘the lasting damage’ of colonial rule in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
‘What good did she do for the poor of this country?! She’s remembered for Paddington bear..’ she wrote, in a series of comments on X.

Former model Alex’s life, meanwhile, took a much different course in the years after Big Brother.
Two years after appearing on the show, Alex was involved in a tragic car crash – when 63-year-old butcher Kurt Lange was killed after being hit by his BMW in Essex.
‘If you Google me, it will say I was involved in an accident where someone died,’ Alex told The Sun in 2020.
‘It wasn’t my fault though, but it’s stuck. All I did was go to pick up my friend from the airport, and the police completely destroyed my career.’

The case was dropped in 2006 due to insufficient evidence, but Alex – who denied that he had been driving dangerously – stepped back from the public eye as the work dried up.
When asked whether he still watches the reality TV show, Alex said: ‘Every year after that I used to be a little bit excited watching it, but then it would bring back some bad memories.’
Revealing how his attempt at a comeback had been spurned by one agent, who told him: ‘Alex, I’ll be honest with you. Your boat set sail a very long time ago.’
