Lizzo clapped back at a recent episode of South Park by dressing up as a faux box of the drug Ozempic bearing her name.

Earlier this year, the long-running adult animation took aim at the Grammy-award winning singer by prescribing her music as an alternative to the weight-loss drug.

In the special, titled The End of Obesity, Eric Cartman sought to lose weight by taking Ozempic. Instead, his doctor prescribed him a lifetime dosage of Lizzo.

‘She’s a really good singer who talks about body positivity, and just being happy with the way you look. I want you to listen to Lizzo five times a day and watch her videos just before bedtime,’ the doctor explained.

‘Rich people get Ozempic, poor people get body positivity!’ exclaimed an angry Cartman.

Months after releasing a reaction video of her own, Lizzo, 36, has responded to the episode with a Halloween costume – and accompanying Cartman inflatable – bearing the likeness of a packet of Ozempic.

This weekend, the About Damn Time songstress shared a series of pictures of her Halloween costume – a red-and-white box bearing her name in big black letters. Around her waist, she wore a measuring tape instead of a belt.

The small print beneath read: ‘Diet suppressant. For single patient use only. Contains Lizzo photobook and discography, product instructions.’

Posting a mock-up of her wearing the outfit, the accompanying copy read: ‘Need self love? Try Lizzo! Lose guilt, gain confidence!’

‘Side effects include: a smile on your face and a pep in your step,’ the small print added.

Further pictures and videos from Lizzo’s Halloween weekend showed her looking shocked as Cartman hovered in the background, about to chow down on a slice of pizza, and partying next to a friend in an inflatable Cartman costume.

In the comments beneath the star’s posts, fans shared their appreciation for her good sense of humour.

‘This is how you respond to a South Park episode,’ said Actually_Laura.

‘Yassss!!!! Take that negative and turn into positive,’ wrote llb2s3xi3.

‘I love it that you are laughing about this. @southpark makes fun of ALL of us,’ said kaceygoldstein.

‘I know Trey Parker and Matt Stone are loving this! 😅’ laughed jennannprofessional.

Elsewhere, comedian Katherine Ryan debuted a different kind of Halloween costume – stepping out dressed as a jumbo-sized Monster Munch.

Accompanied by (an embarrassed-looking) husband Bobby, Katherine was seen struggling to get into a black taxi in London. With Katherine attempting to wedge all 130cm of her giant snack into the passenger seat, Bobby struggled to help her inside.

This follows the same theme as her 2023 outing – in which she took to the streets of London while dressed as a giant Wotsit.

Meanwhile, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner squeezed herself into a tight-fitting PVC playsuit to pose as The Matrix’s Trinity.

With her hair slicked back into a bun and her facial expression steely, the star posed with friends while wearing matching sunglasses, trenchcoat and guns.

‘Red or blue pill 💊’ the former Sansa Stark captioned the post, quoting the most iconic line from the 1999 film.

Selena Gomez went down the rabbit hole to play Alice (Picture: Instagram/Selena Gomez)

Selena Gomez and boyfriend Benny Blanco debuted matching costumes as they dressed as Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter, respectively.

The actress and singer, 32, wore a blue dress and frilly white socks to match the Disney depiction of the character – while her record producer and songwriter boyfriend, 36, looked positively terrifying as the Johnny Depp version of the Hatter.
