ITV viewers have been left disgusted by Big Brother housemate Marcello’s behaviour towards Lily, accusing him of being ‘predatory’.

The 34-year-old youth mentor has already been reported to Ofcom over alleged misogynistic comments after an incident with fan-favourite Ali, where he joked they’d ‘vape kissed’ and then lied about really kissing in the smoking area.

The footage was shown to viewers, with Ali clearly being uncomfortable over Marcello’s behaviour.

And now viewers have been left concerned for 20-year-old Lily, who admitted she fancied him after a night they spent flirting.

‘I like a bit of a flirt and honestly I do like a bit of a kiss,’ she said.

The Chinese takeaway worker, who said she entered the reality competition out of spite after breaking up with her ex-boyfriend, was caught on camera laughing and joking around with Marcello after a few drinks.

At one point, he spilt a drink on her arm and then asked if he could ‘lick it off’, before stopping himself and saying: ‘No, I’m going to get in trouble.’

‘Please,’ Lily replied, as Marcello said he’d ‘lick it off delicately’.

‘I’m going to get in trouble,’ he repeated, laughing.

Later in the episode, the pair were lying on a bed together, with Marcello stroking Lily’s hair.

As they spoke about ‘negative thoughts’ about other housemates, their heads were leaned in close together, with fellow housemate Nathan trying to eavesdrop.

‘They’re only talking,’ Emma insisted to Nathan, claiming Marcello wouldn’t ‘kiss a girl’ wearing dirty socks.

Viewers were left disgusted by Marcello’s flirting with Lily, accusing him of ‘predatory’ behaviour after ‘infantilising’ her.

‘Lily is 20 Marcello is 34… anyways… licking alcohol off her arm and then laying in bed stroking her matted hair is giving sleaze let’s not forget ITV editing out the clip of him putting his hands around her neck,’ @Shiikane wrote on X.

They’d been referring to a clip that aired on the livestream last week, where Marcello grabbed Lily by the neck before saying: ‘I can’t do that.’ Despite making the rounds on social media, the clip didn’t make it into the episode which aired that night.

@homesickjdb said: ‘I’ve said from the start that Marcello has predatory behaviour and i stand on that. a man in his mid 30s, flirting with a very drunk 20 year old (who acts a lot younger)… yes she’s a legal adult but it’s WEIRD and creepy.’

‘Marcello all up on Lily feels mad predatory,’ @MR_CAMARADERIE said.

@pipsbadeyesight added: ‘It almost feels predatory what Marcello is doing with lily and idk why, cos she’s not a kid but at the same time he treats her like one and not to mention she was drunk.’

@jellyelly_ also said: ‘Marcello, a 34 year old sleazy youth worker, trying it on with Lily, an incredibly infantilised drunk 20 year old, is actually really really weird.’

‘I know both Marcello and Lily are grown adults, but he literally infantilises her most of the time so seeing him now flirt with her is very creepy,’ @StanLeeigh added.

@iloveaespaaaa wrote: ‘the way marcello was attempting to get intimate with lily is NOT OK. bare in mind lily is 20, marcello is 34 or something. this is why I love ali because she reacted the correct way by splitting it up and protecting lils!!’

@ClaudiaBoleyn also said: ‘Maybe it’s just the edit, but major red flags from Marcello at the end there. It seemed like Lily was drunk. I don’t know why it took so long for someone to intervene? Well done, Ali.’

They went on: ‘Obviously we’re only seeing snippets so maybe there’s more we’re not aware of, but it seems predatory from the outside.’

Their comment echoed several others praising Ali for stepping in, breaking apart Lily and Marcello.

While they were in bed, she strode over, loudly saying: ‘Hi guys, break it up you two.’

‘Major c**k block,’ one housemate remarked.

Big Brother airs weekdays on ITV2 at 9pm.
