Olivia Rodrigo has unpacked that ‘scary’ fall on stage during her recent concert, revealing that she was rushed to hospital after the trip.

The Déjà vu singer was performing to a sell-out crowd in Melbourne earlier this month, as part of her Guts World Tour, when she suffered a slight mishap.

In video footage making the rounds on social media, the 21-year-old fell into a hole while running around the stage, and quickly climbed out of the gap to continue on the show.

At the time, she told concerned fans: ‘That was fun! I’m okay!’

During an appearance on the Tonight Show on Tuesday, the Disney Channel icon shared that she actually sought medical treatment after her gig ended.

‘You fell through a hole in the stage… I’m sorry, I had to bring it up but I’m bringing it up only because you handled it like a pro,’ host Jimmy Fallon laughed, before playing the clip. ‘And you’re fine!’

‘It was really scary! Watching the video back, it’s pretty terrifying,’ Olivia replied. ‘I mean, show must go on. That’s showbiz, baby.

‘It was actually kind of a beautiful thing, and I’m really happy it happened in hindsight.’

The Vampire singer, who is of Filipino decent, recalled sharing a poignant moment with her nurse in the hospital, shortly after her first visit to the Philippines.

‘I had just been to the Philippines. That was my next stop, Australia, after the Philippines, and I was thinking about my family, and my heritage, and my relatives.

‘I fell, and I was like all shaken up. And I went to the hospital after. Nothing happened, but they just wanted to make sure I didn’t have a concussion.

‘Randomly, the nurse was a Filipino man with the same name as my grandpa who just passed away a few months ago.

‘I was like, “Wow, that was him looking out for me, making sure I didn’t get hurt.” And so, I’m really happy it happened.’

Olivia made headlines with her fall during the Australian leg of her tour, when she took a minute to interact with the crowd and failed to spot the huge hole in the middle of the stage.

Thankfully, she was able to grab onto a ledge and got back to her feet within seconds, and found the whole ordeal hilarious.

‘Oh my god! That was fun! I’m okay! Woah,’ she told the 14,000-strong crowd. ‘Sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage, but that’s alright… Okay, where was I? How are you doing tonight, Melbourne?!’

After many voiced their concerns on social media, she responded to a video with the message: ‘I am ok hahaha.’

Fans can relive her tour on Netflix now (Picture: Getty)

The Grammy-winner got on the road for her Guts tour in February, and wrapped her performances Down Under this month – in a very generous move, she has dropped a tour film on Netflix for those of us who didn’t manage to get tickets, as well as fans who want to relive all of the pain-free fun.

‘I just wanted to create an experience for people to relive the show and I’m so proud of the show and everyone works so hard to pull it together,’ she told People Magazine of the film.

‘I was really excited at the prospect of having a little memento that we could watch back forever.’
