Gogglebox star Stephen Webb reportedly snubbed his former co-star Joe Baggs, who thought the pair were ‘close’.

Joe and his family — brother George, mum Lisa, and dad Terry — appeared on the Channel 4 show from season 16 to 19, returning for a final season in 2020.

He now runs a successful podcast, Not My Bagg, with plenty of stars like Rylan Clarke, Pete Wicks, and Katie Price making guest appearances.

However, Stephen won’t be chatting to Joe any time soon after the 27-year-old TV personality claimed he declined an offer to chat, despite their friendship.

‘There are some cast members where, like we thought we were close to it,’ Joe said: ‘And then I’ve asked them to come on our podcast afterwards, and they’ve declined, and I’ve been a bit like, “Oh, so whatever”.’

When directly asked who had declined, Joe revealed it was Stephen, 53, who had turned him down with no reason given.

‘I asked him to come on and the management declined and I thought it was really strange,’ Joe told The Sun.

Stephen appeared on Celebs Go Dating earlier this year and has previously spoken on other podcasts about his life after Gogglebox.

The podcast host added: ‘It’s a strange one [because] you feel like once you’re in the bubble and in the community, you’re really close to people and then afterwards you’re like, “Oh, OK, maybe not so.”‘

Stephen left Gogglebox in 2023, joining the cast of Dancing on Ice before a broken ankle forced him to withdraw.

Shortly after his exit from the show, he split from his husband of six years Daniel Lustig with both gents still vowing they’re ‘best friends’ and continuing to live together.

While on the Dirty Laundry podcast, Stephen insisted: ‘We get on so well. We’ve gotten on better now than we did when we were together.’

Daniel, 48, agreed: ‘You really get to know someone and yourself, and it was really good for a really long time, and then it kind of petered off, and then we kind of decided the best thing was to end as friends.

‘We’re work colleagues, and partners at work as well, and the basis of our relationship has always been friendship as well.’
