We’re sizes 10 and 18 and found the perfect Christmas party skirt in Peacocks, it’s only £22 & WAG-approved

CHRISTMAS season is fast approaching which means shops are full of sequins and embellished outfits.

But if you’re looking for something slightly more understated that still has some festive sparkle, we’ve found just the thing.

We found a size-inclusive gem from Peacocks

The faux leather silver skirt can be easily dressed up for Christmas

As a 33-year-old who’s petite and a size 18, it’s often difficult to find clothes that suit both my height and curves.

Meanwhile, my work bestie Lynn, 44, is a stunning size 10, but sometimes feels self-conscious of her mum tum.

We’ve teamed up to find the best size-inclusive fashion inspo for our fellow shoppers by trying on the same clothes in different sizes.

A range of high street favourites have been put to the test to see what works – and whether stores really offer something ‘for everybody‘.

Recently, we did a cosy AW24 haul in Peacocks, bagging the perfect fluffy cream coat and grey jumper.

But it was our dressier look piece that was a real (Christmas) cracker and flattered both of our figures.

The silver pleather midi skirt is priced at £22 and comes in sizes eight to 24.

Describing it on the website, Peacocks bosses say: “Elevate your style this season with this silver midi skirt.

“In a super soft, metallic fabric featuring a front fly fastening with zip and popper button, side pockets, belt loops and front spilt, this versatile piece pairs well with anything from slogan tee and trainers to boots and a chunky knit.”

And it’s WAG approved too, as it is part of the Louise Redknapp collection.

Despite sitting longer than the advertised midi length on our shorter frames, the stylish front slit means it still looks flattering – so don’t be put off if you’re a petite gal.

It can easily be dressed up for Christmas party nights with heels and a black bodysuit. Or pair it with trainers and a band tee for a gig.

We’re both in full agreement that it’s a bold statement but remains classy. And a popper instead of a button at the waist is oddly satisfying.

If you’re looking for more size inclusive fashion inspiration, check out our other ‘For Everybody‘ hauls.

So far we have put Sainsbury’s Tu Clothing autumn collection to the test and walked away with some fantastic wardrobe staples including an £18 leopard print dress that suits any occasion.

Meanwhile, River Island impressed with their fall fashion – and we discovered the coat of the season.

We’ve also found the best alternative to the viral jumper in Primark, as well as some surprise jeans and trousers that are AW24 staples.

Elsewhere, we bagged the dream £40 wedding guest dress that flatters all shapes in Quiz – and did the best burgundy haul in New Look.
