Gogglebox’s Ellie Warner has revealed that she has been the victim of online abuse for breastfeeding her son.

The Gogglebox star, 35, who joined the Channel 4 show in 2015, welcomed son Ezra last June.

Since his birth she has given fans sneak peeks into the youngesters’ life, sharing sweet images of him on Instagram.

However, the star has revealed that she has been trolled about her one-year-old son’s hair length and the fact that she still breastfeeds him by a follower on social media.

‘I love you on tv but please think about your son’s future, get his hair cut and stop breastfeeding him, he has to grow up with all this not you, give him a chance at a normal life at least,’ a follower messaged her on Instagram.

Ellie decided to share the message with her followers and explained that she made this decision because she wanted to share what women have to put up with.

‘Thanks for all the kind messages, I wasn’t actually upset reading the message but I chose to share because this is the BS that women have to put up with and I’m trying to raise a little dude who respects women and is against toxic masculinity! And guess what… that message was from another woman?!’ she wrote on social media.

The reality star announced her son’s birth in June 2023 when she was seen holding her baby son in the opening moments of Gogglebox.

Ezra is Ellie’s first child with boyfriend Nat, who last year was left fighting for his life following a car crash, prompting her to take a break from the show.

After taking some time off, and as Nat began the road to recovery, Ellie began sharing pregnancy updates with friends and fans on social media.

In March this year, Ellie kept motherhood real with her fans as she revealed she had to take her son to hospital because he had a viral chest infection.

‘March dump! Nothing spectacular or eventful, Ezra had two hospital stays for bronchiolitis, first Mother’s Day, back to work after maternity leave, went on some walks! I like the simple life what can I say,’ she told her fans in the caption of a post.

She explained she wanted to share the story because she wanted to keep it real with her fans. ‘Ezra is doing well now. I’m just putting this up here for balance, social media is saturated with everyone’s gorgeous Easter photos, but remember not everything is as you see on social media.’
