Big Brother star Rosie (or Baked Potato, as you probably know her as) has hit back at accusations she faked her romance with Nathan.

The pair surprised fans when they suddenly revealed they were in a relationship, before far too many clips of them smooching in bed were aired to viewers over the last five weeks.

After failing to keep their fling a secret from the other housemates, the 29-year-old dental nurse from Essex and the 24-year-old Nigel Farage-loving pork salesman from Scotland proved to be an unlikely match, labelling themselves boyfriend and girlfriend and even declaring that they were falling in love with each other.

Sadly though, their time together in the house came to an end when Rosie was evicted earlier this week, while Nathan has made his way to the final.

And since leaving, she’s had to face accusations that it was all a ‘showmance’, but has now hit back.

In an interview with Metro, the reality star said: ‘I’m not worried about people thinking it’s a showmance.

‘I was hoping to be judged as an individual, not as in a couple anyway.

‘So that doesn’t really affect me, because that doesn’t matter.’

There is one part of the relationship that’s been bothering Rosie, and I think we can all say the same.

Much like the olden days of Love Island, our TV screens were full of their snogs.

She said: ‘What affects me is that I think it just looks so bloody gross.

‘I swear that just the worst things were put together of us, and there were so many nice, fun moments, or funny things, or sweet things, and I swear every moment that’s been clipped together is just awkward.

‘Why would these good people want to see us kiss? That is so gross!’

She went on: ‘There were so many other things that I thought, “Oh, well, they’ll show that, they won’t show [the kissing].”

‘Who wants to bloody see that? It’s disgusting. My goodness, who wants to see two long people just like… god, no. It’s just not cute.’

She added: ‘I just thought there’s so many other things that they would probably rather show than that, and yet that was what they show.

‘That’s more what I’m worried about, just the fact that I’m thinking about these good people having to watch that, I feel awful for that, but as far as a showmance, I don’t really care, because I know it’s not a showmance so that doesn’t bother me at all.’

She went on: ‘I don’t even mind coming across as a little bit lame, if they’d only shown me be a little bit lame, but I feel like I’ve been done dirty, Big Brother, no joke..

‘I swear down, I’ve been done dirty! I look absolutely beyond the valley of the awkward.’

Speaking about the edits, Rosie claimed ITV had highlighted the ‘controversial’ parts of Nathan’s character.

‘I think because he’s such a controversial character, they’ve highlighted that, but he’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met quick-witted, he is so intelligent,’ she said, admitting she can’t speak for his political sides and saying: ‘The political sides, that’s up to him, whatever, he thinks that, I don’t agree, whatever.’

During their time in the house together, Rosie admitted she was worried about her ‘socialist’ mum meeting Nathan, but thankfully, her mum is happy for her.

‘She just says, “He makes you laugh, he makes you happy, what else?” What can she do? And I was like, “thank Christ”, all is well.’

Rosie elsewhere admitted that neither she nor Nathan had planned to make it as far as they did, and hadn’t discussed sharing the money if one of them won.

‘We genuinely thought we were going to be out in the first week,’ she said, adding she’s ‘happy’ to have made it so far.

‘I made it to week five, are you joking me? I never thought I was going to make it that far.

‘Of course, I’m like, how can I not be grateful? I was so grateful, and then he was like, “I can’t even believe I’m still in,” he just thought he was going to get hated, booed, and then leave, and that was it.’

‘We hadn’t discussed what we would do with the money, because we just genuinely thought that would be a waste of our time,’ she added.

Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
